Reche visits Jets
By Mike Reiss, Globe Staff

The Jets hosted free-agent receiver Reche Caldwell on a visit at their team headquarters today.

The visit comes one day after Caldwell was released by the Patriots.

The Jets have six receivers on the roster: Jerricho Cotchery, Laveranues Coles, Justin McCareins, Brad Smith, Wallace Wright and Chansi Stuckey.

It is possible that they have genuine interest in Caldwell, who led the Patriots with 61 receptions last season. Or they might be more interested in some information he could pass along about how the Patriots are preparing to attack the Jets.

Oh no! It's Lawyer Milloy all over again!!!

It wouldn't be a bad idea to grab since he could help them prepare for this week's game. I don't see how they can carry another receiver, they have six already.

Why do people keep acting like the Milloy thing was bad for the Pats? I would love to have the Jets beat us 31-0, then have us go on to back-to-back superbowl wins and a 21 game winning streak.

No friggin way... I live in NY dude.. Those Jets fans are still marveling about that lucky win they squeeked out in Foxboro last year.. Imagine they beat them in the opener.. Forget it..

I'd have to think given the way that the Jets at least host a visit with everyone we cut that BB implements some sort of measures so that Caldwell isn't walking in there with the complete plan of attack.

I agree. There's no way the Jets would sign him and keep him past monday 9/10. They're deep enough at WR and can use the roster spot at a position of need (i.e. OL)

Imagine that. They'll announce him last during introductions like they did with Milloy. "and at Wide receiver RECHE CALLLLLDWELLLL" That would be funny.

You'll have your sweet revenge in 5 long days.......I really think we blow these grounded Jets out of their own, errrrr, out of Giants Stadium.

Mangina put him to good work without even caldwell breaking a sweat.
He had the board prepped up for Reche to tell him how they use Moss and Welker and other things.
Just when I thought I couldn't hate the jets more look what Mangina goes and does, any scrubs we can bring in who they cut that would have a idea of the gameplan mangina is trying to brew up?

We are introduced as a team.

Yeah.. I wonder where your team got THAT idea from..

Just like they got the J-E-T-S, JETS, JETS, JETS chant from the Patriots...

Always 2nd class and late to the Party...

My gf is a janitor at Mass General.
By way of pillow talk, she mentioned that Sunday Reche had been in for a
lobotomy.

Bill Parcells always had the team introduced as a team.
I had no idea about the J-E-T-S chang coming from NE....

THE JETS are always 2nd...What team did you guys get BB from again, I seem to be drawing a blank. ;)

I really mean it I hate the Jet's with all my being they're so damn easy to hate and now with Mangina pulling this fast one it makes it all the easier!
I wish I could go to the game:(

I guarantee you that I hate the Pats at least TWICE as much as you hate the Jets.

hopefully they didn't start prepping the true game plan for the jet's until monday afternoon after Reche was released I will be real upset if this ends up looking like the historic Buffalo opener or even last season in Miami where Saban knew our snap counts and everything.
Reche better shut his mouth or someone should give him a swollen eye oh wait never mind.
