Amazing. Best fan-base EVER. Great reading - jetsinsider.com, ganggreen, jet nation - all of 'em, top notch amusement.

Tell me about.. I hangout on the gang green allot.. There are allot of delusional fans on there, but for the most part some good posters with a sense of reality.. The rest on that list is amazing..

I think he executed that trade in Madden '08. That is why he came up with that idea.

I was over there yesterday after a few disappointing days of posting there last week - their "how can we win" thread was actually really interesting, so I'm glad you brought up that site in particular. Some of them are okay. Hell, some of ALL of them are okay, but there are a LOT of deluded fans, more than their fair share.

Alan Faneca would be a great addition to our team, but I just don't think it is possible. He will be looking for way more money than the team can give him.

Good to see you're not throwing all of them into the same pile. Every fan base has some nuts, just some more than others.

I can remember even here back in 2003 someone suggesting we trade Damon Huard for Kwame Harris, who the 49ers had just taken four months before, simply because they needed a QB worse.

He certainly would but the whole point is that the trade would be ridiculously one-sided. Even if Faneca is wanting out, it would be like if we had traded Drew Bledsoe for a 5th round pick.

Oh believe me I know it would be one-sided. One of those deals that just doesn't happen, unless on madden like someone mentioned earlier. :)

That and the fact that he's a way, WAY better player than Andre freakin' Dyson.

Steelers need a CB and Faneca is causing problems....

Faneca has promised not to play for the Steelers again next year, so the steelers might want to at least get something for him. I agree, however that Dyson wouldnt be enough, maybe a late rd draft pick and Dyson?

To be honest, I have not seen any confirmation that the Jets are even shopping Dyson...But there are rumors that the steelers would be interested.

Anyway, this is my first real trolling experience, hope I do alright.:D

Not sure why you jumped on him like that. We know Barlow is nothing, why do you think he was let go when we got a real rb in Thomas Jones?

and then cut Barlow. Anyway, to ........(dont remember his name, lol) Can you at least argue about the points Im making and not my sig or do I have to include the Seymour quote about how Mangini outcoached BB??

You did just fine. Pay no attention to the occasional "homefield troll" here. Welcome aboard.

You embarrass the rest of us with nonsense like this. If guys come in guns blazing, that's one thing. But this guy - and jetheelz - are EXACTLY the kinds of opposition poster we like to encourage around here.

Unfortunately for you, I believe it would take more than a "late rd draft pick" to supplement that deal. Dyson is basically a JAG and Faneca is a Pro Bowler. The jets are in a bit of a bind here. They didn't want to cave on Kendall, but now they're exposed at OG. And to get a good, vet OG they're looking to trade a DB, where they have a lot of young players.

I don't think much of Dyson, and the trade ideas over at jetsinsider.com are silly, but you're screwed in the secondary if you make any deal for an OG that involves your most experienced corner, no matter how pedestrian he may be.

First of all, Dyson isnt our most experienced DB, Barrett is. Also, as in any trade, if you want something you have to give something up (Unless of course, your trading for either Randy or TJones, but thats besides the point). I'm with you however, I seriously doubt Dyson is on the block and I really havent heard anything circumstancial to prove me wrong. Although I would like to see our OG position improve, I like the prospect of a 1-2-3 punch of Revis, Dyson and Justin Miller (who apparently had a great camp before getting injured) at the CB position.

In any event, I think Sunday will be interesting because the biggest offensive weapon and offseason addition for each team has sat out with an injury most, if not all of preseason So it'll be interesting to see how they and their teams respond...
