It is clear to me that we need to add a DL until Seymour gets back. Both Wright and Warren have been injured, although Warren seems to be ready. I don't expect Brown to be anything but a benchwarmer for the season (unless he is inactive).

Really?

You don't think Jarvis, Wright, and LeKevin provide enough depth?

No, I don't. As of today, Wright may or may not be available. Kareem Brown will likely not be useful for at least a season. We are left with Green, Wilfork, and the just back from injuy Warren as our starters and Kevin as our backup. This is not enough for the normal five man rotation, let alone enough players if someone is injured.

We usually carry seven or eight defensive linemen. We now have six with Santonio Thomas on the Practice Squad. I think that we need a veteran if we can find one after Game One.

I agree. Wright has been out for weeks and still is not practicing. That leaves two experienced backups? Very thin.

I think we're fine, but we got Santonio onto the PS, so we're totally fine. I'd put him right in. He played great last preseason amd this one.

I don't think another DL will be added, but I'm concerned about who's backing up Wilfork at the nose. LeKevin put in a strong performance at DE, but the dropoff from VW in the middle of the Pats defense bothers me. A lot.

Did Rashad Moore do a better-than-decent job, or was that against second teamers?

Look, I don't have a crystal ball. I'm just trying to get this football team ready to face the Jets on Sunday. I don't know if I'll be here on Monday. I don't even know if Gillette Stadium will be here on Monday. I'm just trying to coach the team of what we got.

(P.S.: Wright is day-to-day. Just like Chad Scott.)

NO not that...day to day?? He'll be on IR fast.

It could be Tuesday to Wednesday, Friday to Saturday. The suspense is unbearable.

Care to comment on the Asante contract, or the Brad Childress call, or Seymour's injury, or what you didn't really say about Kerry Rhodes? Hmm? Any tidbits? Hmm? :D

Just like David Thomas, too.

Asante is practicing, yes.

Every coach is focused on improving their team's personnel at this time of the year.

We'll re-evaluate Richard's injury when the time comes. It is what it is. That is what we thought would be best for the football team. I'm just focused on preparing the players that we got for the Jets.

I'm just trying to do what's best for the football team, not worrying about what you guys say or whatever teams do.

The reality is that we don't need help against the hapless jets. We could use help against the chargers and beyond.

The Jets are going to be a tough matchup as always. They have one of the best WR combos in the league, a quarterback who had a great season last year, and a defense that can really keep you off-balance with the blitz. We're going to have to bring our best game on Sunday if we want to beat this team. We've played them three times last year, and all three games came down to the last possession, with us on the losing side of one.

(P.S. Hey Brad, it's Bill. I actually did say this today. I wanted to burst out laughing when I said the playoff game came down to the last possession. We destroyed the Jets in that game. They suck. Just don't let this be in the papers tomorrow, OK?)

Bobby Hamilton is now available.:singing:

Hi Bill, it's Brad. Sorry, but I can't contain myself: this is going in the Star-Trib tomorrow. So there. :enranged:
