Moss, Samuel practice
By Mike Reiss, Globe Staff
Wide receiver Randy Moss has been spotted at practice. It's the first time since he was injured on Aug. 1 that Moss has been present for the start of a non-walkthrough session. Moss has been joined by cornerback Asante Samuel, who is accounted for during the media portion of practice for the first time since he ended his de facto holdout last Monday, reporting to the team, and signed his $7.79 million franchise tender last Tuesday. The Patriots are practicing in full pads today.

David Thomas is on the practice field too.:D

Beautiful.

Geno at practise as well.
YES! Geno is my favorite player, good to see him back :D

But seriously it is great to see Moss back in practice. If Moss, Geno & Samuel will play Week 1 then things are looking up after a dismal few days.

Not sure I'd like to be a Jest fan right about now.

Great news for us, bad news for Mangina on Sunday.

OK, looks like it's on for Sunday! With all the garbage news over the last few days including the cut down period, this is now the beginning of the team's 2007 trade mark. I'm hoping all on the field today can play without restrictions on Sunday including Samuel being available for nickel or other spot CB duties.

The changes the Pats have gone through since February are incredible for that short time frame, and those changes have players, coaches, fans, owners, and media champing at the bit.

I expect Samuel and Hobbs to be the CB on the first defensive play.

And I expect a 3 WR set of Moss, Stallworth, Welker, TE of Watson, RB Maroney to start the offense.

I am really starting to think BB was totally ******* with the Jets, with the Moss thing. It wouldn't surprise me if he has 8 catches for 100 plus yards and a couple of scores Sunday.

I wouldn't doubt that, it was reported sometime last week that Moss was sneaking to one of the practice fields with his pads...

Great news (for a change) on all fronts.

I'm most excited about Dave Thomas. Hopefully his foot is 100% healed. I think he is gonna be a clutch guy for us in 07.

David Thomas is a real sleeper. I watched him a lot when he was at Texas and he is a great player. Catches EVERYTHING! He was Vince Young's favorite target. Thomas also shredded the USC defense in the BCS Champiionship game a few years back. Him and Watson are going to be a awesome pass catching duo at TE.

Yup. Loved him at UT. If you haven't seen it, search YouTube for his highlight real. Awesome stuff. Every UT fan I know just raves him Thomas and his clutch play.

If he is healthy he is going to be a killer assassin in the Dallas Clark mold.

I'm just hoping all this "Moss on the bubble?" talk is done for good.

I was elated when they took him last season. I've watched him since he was a true freshman. He knows how to get open and he makes the catch every time.

This is great news. The possiblity of having Moss and Samuel back, as well as Wilson for the Jets game is a huge positive step. I can't wait until Thomas comes back; that guy is going to be a major contributor.

I think this makes it clear that:

a. Moss was never really that badly injured and they were just being careful with him

b. BB feels that Moss and Brady are already comfortable enough with each other and

c. BB is still the master of misinformation.

Moss certainly will be ready...we shall see about Samuel...they will nottake away the exemption until he is either ready to play on Sunday OR on MOnday when it expires. There is no need to activaye him until he is ready...he is allowed to practice to get ready..that is why there is an exemption. I hope he can be ready for Game one..but I think it's a jump to assume that will be true..
