How do you feel now about the Patriots in terms of 'regular season wins' since the unfolding events of the past 48 hours?

Besides a couple of goofballs who said 16-0:rolleyes: - Many have said the Patriots will win 12 (logical),13 (possible)or 14 games (unlikely but not impossible).

Because of Harrison with the drug suspension and now we find out Seymour is not ready, have you changed your prediction down a game or two because of 2 key defensive player losses that have occured in the past 2 days or stayed the same thinking the losses of Seymour and Harrison will not be a major factor in the final outcome of the first 4-6 games?

I think not having your top 2 key motivative members on the field in their respective areas will hurt and may cost a game, maybe 2 unless the defense holds together strong, but it will be tough to win the majority of these first several games and winning them all to me to go 5-0 is not in the cards,I would be happy with a 4-1 or 3-2 record until BOTH guys are back,of course Rodney should return before Seymour...I said 'should' as I am not sure of what will become of his season yet .

I am confident Jarvis Green, who in my opinion is pretty close to Seymour in talent at the position can do the job as he has done before with Seymour's frequent injury prone seasons and I think Merriweather can step in and help out the secondary but still deep down in my mind, there is the fear the these 2guys not being on the field and showing needed leadership can have early implications on the record of this team and the quest for a first round playoff bye at either #1 or #2 which IMO is going to be the only way to get to the SB this season.

Do the Patriots still seem likely to win 13 or 14 games without these 2 guys on the field? - Not to forget Moss has no sure sign of returning anytime soon either although I expect him by at least week 2

Right now 12 wins seems the most likely scenario, but 11 wins possibility has just entered the room.

I have seen the Pats as a 12 win team for the last month or so. None of the turmoil in the last few days changes that for me, I still say 12 wins.
Pats have lots of quality depth, still with some key injuries, or suspensions you never know how a team will end up at the end of the season.

I'm now at 15-1, 14-2 baring major injury

Wow. From a Jet fan...I happen to agree. Most impressive that you are a realist...:rocker:

Hate to ruin your impression, but...I think the Jets have a good chance to win next week, at least I think it will be a close game for the first 3/4 of the game and then the Pats win by 6 or less, Jets could win, I would not be surprised to see Eric win this go around.

im hoping we can go 4-2 till seymour and harrison get back I think its very possible.

Yes, I've gone from a 14-2 feeling to more of an 11-5 of 12-4 feeling. Those first 4-6 games will be difficult w/o Seymour and HGHarrison. SD will be out for blood and I have a weird feeling about the Jets game ala the 2003 season opener w/ Buffalo.

I'm sticking with my original 13-3. Nothing has changed for me. They have recovered from far more adversity with a less talented team in the past. As long as we have Brady and BB, we'll be there.

Thats bad, lol ;)

I originally thought 12-13 wins, and now I'm at 11-12 wins.

I was originally at 13-3 but now I am down to 12-4 due to Harrison and Seymour being out on defense and Randy Moss still up in the air.

Yo...goofball, get it right - I said 19-0!!

I still feel the same!

Seriously?

Yeah, what the hey......if a 23 year old kid can pitch a no hitter in Fenway Park in his 2nd start ever......anything can happen.

14-2, 15-1

Qb12

No. I still expect them to end their season with a win in February. :)

If anything, I think these personnel losses will affect how the games are played, not necessarily who wins. If the defense suffers severely, we'll just get a better look at our presumably high-powered offense. I can't wait.

I was originally at 9-7, I'm gonna stick with that.

Ya and look what App State did to Michigan. That is unbelievable. ESPN said no AP ranked team has ever lost to a division AA team.

9-7?
