I have to say that Rivers impressed the hell outta me. Came in and did a damn good job, all things considered.

Totally agree. He looked to be more reliable and a better blocker than Watson, honestly.

I totally agree with you on that I would be surprised if he's not picked up by some team.

When I look at the list of cuts, and the roster... he's my "surprise" cut. Figured he'd stick.

I liked him, too. Blocked well and had soft hands

Yeah I just got posting this on another thread. That he looked good blocking and catching. And it was a little bit of a surprise he got cut.

looked at least as good as any te's pats have had for a few years...esp catching the ball.

Definitely seemed more reliable than Watson

to me Watson and Cassell are the two most overrated players on the Patriots

if watson cant really make an impact this year....well then he is just another "good" tight end

Agreed.
Also, cutting Rogers and Oldenburg suprises me, but I suppose there's a fair chance both come back on the PS.

Rogers is a bit of a surprise, but not Oldenburg... Elgin was a bigger surprise... I really hope that the Broncos don't pick him up...

I thought Wesley was a surprise cut, he played well.

I have to disagree. Wesley was flagged twice on special teams. I don't know if he was flagged against the Giants, but he was twice against the Panthers... It wasn't a good showing.

I guess you're right. I just thought he played well in coverage and he is 6'1, which is good, since most of our CBs are short.
