Linebacker Oscar Lua, who got the start tonight at linebacker against the Giants, went down with what appeared to be a right knee injury with roughly 12 minutes left in the first quarter. He was down on the sidelines for a few minutes before he got up slowly and headed to the locker room accompanied [...]

IR stash time. Might as well. He wasn't going to be around anyway, except maybe the PS.

For those of us that have to wait for NFLN to replay the game on Sat., what happened?, was his limp slight or pronounced? what exactly does accompanied mean? - (ie. without help there is no way he would have walked off the field)

Thanks for any help

Lying down on the sidelines being treated. IR stash!!

He barely made it to the sidelines.

One hit and he goes to IR? Is he a man or a mouse?
That injury didn't seem serious did it?

I think some of us feel the Patriots will be better served if he goes on the IR this year so the team still controls him, but doesn't have to worry about a roster spot for him. Next year he will probably have a much better chance of making the team. It's almost like getting an extra draft pick next year.

He was in considerable discomfort after barely making it to the sideline and after lying flat on the gound for prolonged examination of what looked like his knee, he hobbled to the locker room for the night. Even if it is not serious, I suspect it is bad enough to keep him out for several weeks and that alone might land him on IR so they can stash a few players for the future (Rashad Baker being another).

I bet Lua goes to IR. Aside from it meaning you're hurt seriously, I think he'll be served well by it. He looks like he's got some abilities. I'm not sure he has the speed though. Who knows, Teddy B never had it either and he's done exceptionally well.
