Not much to talk about (that hasn't been talked and talked about), so I thought looking at "how the other half posts" might be funny. And boy IS it! Over on jetsinsider.com they are discussing whether or not the jets should trade Andre Dyson for a starting LG - NOW. About a week before the season starts.

Now I don't think Dyson is much of anything, but that secondary is GARBAGE outside of Revis. Justin Miller has turned out to be a glorified KR, but even if he was halfway decent, there's not much depth there. For awhile I was laughing at how dumb that was, especially timing-wise, and then I read this...

"Justin Smiley for Andre Dyson and maybe a conditional late round pick sounds alright to me."

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL! God love 'em.

Teams make trades all the time, rumor has it that the pats are shopping Washington, does that make you laugh also.

And you have know clue about secondary depth if you say the Jets are thin at CB

By the way I would take Smiley and a late pick for Dyson.

Mangini has made due with a crappy secondary before...

Umm, the Jets are trading because they NEED a guard, right now. The Pats are trading because they have too many WRs to play. Not exactly the same, now, is it?

Do you even know what a secondary is? What depth do they have? They don't even have four starters, let alone depth.

By the way I would take Smiley and a late pick for Dyson.
As a Pats fan, I would be very happy if this were to happen. The Jets secondary is bad enough as it is. Without Dyson, they have one quality player back there and a rookie who missed most of training camp, and a bunch of JAGs. Sunday would be a repeat of the 56-3 game in which the Pats scored a TD the first 8 times they had the ball.

Well of COURSE you would. But you're a jet fan. Even without the hole it would leave in your secondary, that's a GOOD trade for the jets. AND anyway that's not the trade mentioned. Try reading. I was mocking how unbelievably STUPID that trade would be for the other team.

And, by the way, if you think the jets aren't thin at CB, you're not actually a jet fan. Follow along and don't be a lunatic.

My Bad what trade were you talking about'

Are you saying the Jets trading Dyson for a quality LG (a desperate need for the Jets) is a good or bad idea?

Dyson, Barret, Coleman, Poteat, Revis, Hodge, Miller, Collins, These are the 8 CBs on the Jets roster. Not a lot of quality but not suckage either, Dyson and Barret are both solid above average Jags, those two could start on over 1/2 the teams in the NFL, but there still Jags. Poteat, Miller, Coleman, = slightly below average jags, Revis could be decent, time will tell. 6 decent Jacs at CB and you claim there is no depth, Sure we don't have a shut down corner but how many teams do,
I say the Jets CB situation is better then average as far as quality and depth.

As far as the secondary overall goes the Jets have a nice young group at Saafety also.

You can Blather all you want, thats fine this is a message board, but the real joke here is you calling out JI and the Jets for wanting to make there team better by trading a Jag at a position of depth For a starter at a position of need.

You need to go look across the league at CBs. Barrett is nowhere near the "could start for 1/2 the teams in the league" quality. Coleman and Miller are borderline abysmal at CB.

The trade proposed was Dyson for Justim Smiley AND more. Silly. Oh, and it's both a bad idea in that no team would EVER trade anything like that for Dyson, let alone SWEETEN the offer to make it so, AND a bad idea b/c the jets are too thin at DB to do it anyway.

"know" clue? I don't even "no" where to start with that softball.

You've just done what soooooo many jet fans do - NAME the DB's on the roster as some sort of "proof" that the jets aren't thin at those positions. Then you RIDICULOUSLY overrate the JAG JUNK on your roster to help your theory along.

The idea that the jets CB situation is better than average is ASININE. You are blind. Delusional. And, jet-fan-wise, totally typical.

I am not sure what you are basing the claim that all the CBs on the jets are junk? But hey thats cool, it's a Pats board so I understand that a Jets fan input would not carry much weight.

I guess the only reason I responded to your thread was because of your ridiculosus first post in this thread, which you contradict youself in. The inaccurate content in your post's are of little consequence to me, and you seem sincere, so we will have to leave it at that.

Good news is preseason is over, and next week we will have better subjects to discuss.

Carry on with your ***********. :)

Like who you're going to draft with your top 10 draft pick?

Hey, passive-aggressive boy! Welcome aboard. There was no contradiction, but I'm sorry if you're unable to think in any kind of nuanced way whatsoever. Congrats on that AWESOME and DEEP jets secondary. Good call there, by the way. And you're right, Justin Smiley for Andre Dyson IS a fair trade - and a smart one to suggest. It'll DEFINITELY happen.

If you want to discuss anything jets-related, pro or con, and/or anything Pats-related, pro or con, you're more than welcome. But don't get pissy just b/c we point out the delusion under which you're living when it comes to gang green.

Hey buddy, put down the idiot pills and take a browse at your roster.

Haha.....The Jets fan wrote "post's." That Northern Jersey education system is lacking in the grammar classes I see. It's cool though, I assume everyone down there is just as inept. Actual, I am not assuming, I've been down there-- ineptitude at its finest.

Whose post's are you referring to?
