I think this article is a bit harsh considering Tom Brady's situation. He does not have to speak after a post game in preseason, especially considering the circumstances.

Brady is a pretty stand up guy and has been very good with the media in Boston, a pretty tough media at that. So not only does he owe it all of us to be a Red Sox fan, but now he also owes it to the media to speak to them after a GD preseason game after the birth of his son?

His digs at Tom and comments on Peyton show a pretty obvious agenda.

F*** him. I'm tired of this BS. Michael Vick just pleaded guilty to Federal Charges, but I guess in the eyes of this scum bag writer, he thinks that Tom Brady has committed a greater crime? Give me a break.

I agree. I've never seen Tom represent himself as a media ducker AT ALL, and I think it's perfectly legitimate, expected and admirable for 12 to leave as soon as the game is over to get back to his child and the mother of his child. It is, in fact, a rather "family values"-ish way to do things. Seems like a weird comment to me, and kind of unfair.

That was a journalist whining that he couldn't get a story. Try harder, Farinella.

How much you wanna bet we find "Mr. Family Values" (Farinella) shows up on a blotter report wearing high heels and lipstick? lol

This guy looks to be the new cheap shot artist around town, taking swipes at Jarvis Green, Brady and Ghost. I wonder if he is originally from Indy.

Long gone are the days when you could saunter up to the locker of someone like Steve Grogan at any old time, ask a question and get an honest answer in return … except, apparently, in Indianapolis, where Super Bowl MVP Peyton Manning doesn't see the need to overly orchestrate his availability.

Some call it self-promotion on the part of Manning, but more likely, it's because he's someone who has never lost sight of the fact that it's just a game …

I've never heard of this doofus before, and I hope I never do again.

** Speaking of the so-called "Patriot Way," it hit home last week during a harmless interview session in the locker room just how indoctrinated some of these players are in Belichick's paranoia of the media.

Le Kevin Smith, a second-year defensive lineman who has shown some promise, was sitting at his locker and chatting casually and comfortably with a small group of four reporters, all from the suburban press (self included), when veteran Jarvis Green strolled over and stood menacingly behind the reporters, occasionally looking up from the Styrofoam lunch tray he was holding to shake his head back and forth as if to say "no" to something.

Green wasn't menacing the reporters. He was basically telling Smith to clam up and not talk to us - even though the conversation was as harmless as can be. It led me to wonder exactly who Green, a reserve linemen himself who can't break the starting lineup unless Richard Seymour remains on vacation, thought he was to be laying down the law.

Ummm. Wow. What an ignorant ass. I dare say that Jarvis Green could break almost any starting lineup in the NFL that didn't contain Richard Seymour and Ty Warren in front of him.

There is not a team in the league that Jarvis couldn't start for. Except the Patriots.

This guy should have told Jarvis, "Who do you think you are?" See what answer Jarvis gives him.

This guy is quite stupid IMO.

I can't blame Brady for avoiding the media Friday.

How many questions do you think would have been football related. Less than 1/3 I would imagine.

What is a pretty memorable moment for most folks in their lives, I don't blame Brady for worrying or not wanting it to be soured by the jerks in the press corp.

Farinella should ask Payton Manning if he's ever heard of Jarvis Green!!! Maybe then he would understand how well Jarvis fits in the Pats D.

The media would have kept their questions football-related. They did it for Andy Reid.

REID WALKS OUT OF PRESS CONFERENCE

Gary Cobb reports that Eagles coach Andy Reid walked out of a Friday press conference after reporters began asking him questions about his son, Britt, who was taken into custody on Thursday for suspicion of DUI.

Reid had said in the press conference that he would not answer any questions about his son.

On one hand, we think that the troubles of Reid's adult son are unrelated to Reid's job, and should not be discussed at a press conference or anywhere else. On the other hand, the fact that Reid took an unusual leave of absence after his sons encountered legal troubles in January makes the topic fair game.

As Cobb points point, fans and the media are entitled at a minimum to know whether Reid is considering taking more time off.

There are only 32 NFL head-coaching jobs, and a certain amount of scrutiny goes with the territory. Reid should be willing to provide basic information about his own plans in the wake of this latest development, and under no circumstances should he be offended by the fact that reporters are asking basic questions about the issue.

I wrote Farinella and basically told him that he should stop being like WRONG BOGUS (Ron Borges) and that if anyone had the "Pre-Madonna" attitude it was him. Told him that reporters aren't ENTITLED to anything. That it wasn't a right, but a privelege to be in the locker-room and be able to address the players.

Too many reporters think that they are god's gift and that we want to hear THEIR opinions and not the facts. Its one of the reasons that I like Breer and Reiss and SMY. They actually do reporting. Not like Farinella.

I just got finished my angry email as well. Lets flood his inbox. :D

Email is: [ removed ] if you want to avoid clicking on the link and giving him more hits on the site.

The Sun/Chronicle? More people read this website than that insignificant rag. Who cares what some crybaby wrote in it. Don't send angry emails. Don't send eyeballs, either.

Regards,
Chris

Ha Ha, or you sure your name is not Chad Pennington, seems to me I remember most of Patriot Nation coming down hard on him when he said the same thing,

:)

"My name is Joe Farinelli and I am stuck at this two-bit community newspaper in an era where even the big ones are dying.........help me......save me from irrelevance.......please read my 'edgy' columns.....look at me.....look at me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Actually, this guy had a very good and informative article on Le Kevin Smith today. Maybe he should remember what he's good at and try to inform the public instead of junk like "I wasn't in Charlotte Friday night for the Patriots' 24-7 preseason victory over the Carolina Panthers, but........."

Absolute classic. I remember that well.
I can't believe I'm enjoying a Jets fan's contributions.

It's a sad day when a Jets fan is the voice of reason on a Patriots message board. :(

And if TB had stayed around, Farinella would probably have criticizd him for not jetting back to the west coast. The guy made two roundtrip cross country trips in the space of a few days. Cut him some slack until you've tried it.
