According to PFT, the Jaguars have cut Jermaine. http://www.profootballtalk.com/rumormill.htm

Apparently, he was concussed in a pre-season game against the Packers.

But still, I loved him when he was here (that hurdle move!), he's a local boy, and we ARE short of tight ends. So ...

After the good game that Marcellus River just had, I think BB's sticking with him

Obviously, his concussion needs to be monitored, but when he is given the OK to resume playing, then I hope the FO knows his agent's number.

Hey, I can dream, can't I?

Me too ... one of my favourites.

OK, I get it now. He had a concussion. I was wondering why he would be cut when a little EXLAX would have take care of the problem. Forgot that you use proper English.

Anyway, Wiggins has always been a favorite of mine, too. He always seem to be able to hook on to a team and do well. He's probably on a short list if we need TE's, but I also think he will be on a roster before the season ends.

[sigh] You're probably right. But we can send him a little love when he's out of a job.

Jermaine Wiggins From......EAST BOSTON other wise known as leapin jermaine

Hindsight being 20/20 I'd have preferred to keep Wiggins and use at least one of our #1 draft picks on someone other than a TE.

But Wiggins is a pass catcher more than a blocker and that's where I think we need more depth.

damn
you beat me to it
chris berman actually said it when reading notable cuts
i love how they say it every time

but yeah, that leap, was awful
i was always so scared he'd fumble or get hurt when he did it
it was pretty pointless
but i love him still
and would love to see him back in a pats uni
rivers has def played pretty well though

But now that K Brady has returned to practice, and if he is good to go no later than the SD game, then how about a TE triumvirate of Watson - Brady - Wiggie? Mills can make the 53 as the backup FB. And Rivers can be placed on speed-dial.

Remind me, can Wiggins block at all? I know he has pretty good hands and the speed of a drunken turtle.

Not real well, certainly not as well as Brady does. He may be a better blocker than Watson, though, and he certainly has much better hands. The only skill at which Watson is clearly superior to Wiggie is straight-line speed.

Watson = speed TE
Brady = blocking TE
Wiggie = hands TE
