Anyone have the stomach to watch?

Borges ...

Not sold on the Pats as prohibitive SB favorites...

...Randy Moss bashing...Doesn't he feel like practicing?

He didn't get to be his usual annoying self as Smerlas dominated the discussion and made lots of good points.

1) Maroney's hesistancy in the running game late last year was both hitting the rookie fatigue wall and more importantly, his shoulder hurt and he didn't want to hurt it more with head on contact.

2) Welker will have 80-90 catches because he's ALWAYS where he's supposed to be.

3) Opposing defensive coordinators will have greater difficulty figuring out what the Pats will do with all there weapons as opposed to McDaniel trying to figure out how to use them all.

Thanks a lot for the run down, I appreciate it.

Maroney hitting the wall was never brought up last year, but it did occur to me that that was possibly a problem with his tailing off. But then again he did have Dillon to split time with.

Jeez, you mean Borges didn't punch him in the mouth? What a cowardly punk. Way to go, Freddie!

Also that his shoulder hurt like hell and the idea of running into a bunch of 300lb dudes made him run east/west rather than north/south makes a ton of sense to me.

He did ALOT of dancing at the line towards the back end of last season I do recall.

If it was his shoulder I think I remember the hit that causes it. I think it was in the Detroit game . Maroney was coming around the Lt side and was absolutly drilled by the safety,he hit Maroney in the upper Lt. chest/shoulder area,Maroney got up very slowly and never returned to the game. And I don't think he played for about a month after that if I'm remembering correctly.

Actually he was only out for 2 weeks, returned and had two good games in a row against the Jags & Titans.

Any specifics on why or why not? This could be a valid/reasonable POV depending on his reasoning.

Just that other teams such as Indy, SD and Cincy are equally good.
