Hilliard, Dunlap, Kight, Anam, West
I think because 2 are already on reserve PUP..they will need to cut 3...West, BJones, Anam.....
I'd have to agree with those. But it may or not be 5. I think it could be 3, as the Pats were mysteriously at 82 at some points this camp. We'll see...
Wth the first cuts on August 28, some players will be playing their last games as a Patriot. Say your final goodbyes here.
See you Brian and CJ Jones, we hardly knew ye.

I don't believe that is correct. Who do you believe is already on the Reserve Pup?
That was with the exemptions...they were 2 over starting training camp...That's becasue Barthelmes and Baugher had NFLE exemptions. Barthelmes has now been cut and I don't know when the NFLE exemption expires...
Ass-u-ming that Samuel signs next week, the FO needs to make 6 moves (or 5, if Baugher still has an exemption). If I made the decisions, I would place Dave Thomas and the Jackson 2 on Reserve PUP, and release Dunlap and CJ Jones (and Chris Patrick, if necessary).
Of course, if I made the decisions, I would know the truth behind the injuries to Moss, Gaffney, $eemour, Richardson et.al. Maybe my roster moves would be different.

Samuel is NOT counted not signed a tender
or Meriweather as he had not signed.his contract NOT counted
There are 3 NFLE exemptions.. Baugher, Malone, Barthelmes.
80 + 3 = 83 They had 85??????
Having seen all the fringe players at TC....MY conclusion has been that 2 players were on RESERVE PUP from pre TC...How else do teh numbers add up??? Reserve PUPs are NOT coiunted towrd the roster limit as they are gone for 6 weeks plus....
I really think suspended players count as well though...toward the limit...it IS weird...but I really think RESERVE PUP might be it. I wonder what the REAL practicing rules are between active PUP and reserve?? If there is little...then I really believe PUP is the answer. I also recall BB talking about PUP and injuries in a press conference day one...(I think...) about how some were closer to coming back others were not erc etcThat's the thing. My only intuition is that Kareem Brown might not have counted or something like that while he was on his "suspension."
As you said, the only other possibility is that the Pats got an NFLE "Bonus" exemption as Barthelmes was on the 53-man roster for a short time in 2006.
Could be 1 of each too. I'll have to go back and check, but that could be the reason why they cut a couple others when they terminated Barthelmes (and his possible bonus exemption).
4 PM Tuesday. Then we'll see.

IF any are placed on PUP Tuesday or before, my guess is they were officially placed there pre-TC.
