Who's Hot:
O-lines, Tom Brady, Laurence Maroney, Heath Evans, Top D, Field Goal blocking Unit, Brandon Meriweather

Who's Not:
Dante Wesley

I think that Quinton Smith has earned a spot on the practice squad. So have Lua and Rogers (at the very least). Tory James seemed to rebound some also.

I think Rogers could make the 53, as could Richardson.

The OL (first and second string) was damn impressive tonight. I didn't pay much attention in the 4th quarter, did Wesley get burnt?

Loving the Meriweather pick more and more, and my boy Big Fat Vince.

Wesley took at least one bad special teams penalty. He had another bad one last week.

Yea, all the Miami guys (Vince, Kareem, and Meriweather) looked good tonight.

Damn the offensive line was so good tonight. No one even got close to Brady.

So many played so well tonight maybe we look at those who weren't that visible...

Notable Invisible Men Tonight:

Mills (Bye!)
Chad Brown
Faulk (OK, OK, he was inactive; just testing)
The OL (but that's a GOOD thing)

Mills looked impressive blocking. Even if he doesn't make the 53, I'd take a flyer on him for the PS.

I'll try the TiVo as I didn't notice Mills' blocking, d%#*!@t!

You must have missed him during the 3rd and 4th quarters because Mills was out there regularly as the lead blocker and he was doing a damn good job.

Gostkowski looked a little off his game.

But the O-line were awesome against a very decent Panthers pass rush.

I was impressed with the way we laid our cards on the table as far as calling the run early and still made it work - 4th down call by Bill was a real kick up the ass!

Brady looked smooth, although I have no idea what happened to the bomb he threw to Stallworth maybe it slipped in his hand.

Maroney showed potential - the blocking scheme suits him better - if he gets to the outside...he is gone.

Welker done what we knew he would and 1st and 2nd D looked good (apart from one bad coverage error)

k since I couldnt watch the game on tv I want some opinions plzz..

on brady, stallworth, o-line, vince, meriweather, AD, and hobbs.. thanks fellas...

Late 4th QTR run blocking was atrocious, but mainly the LG/LT problem.

Big Kudos to Randall Gay.

Big Kudos to Randall Gay.

Agreed. Was Gay on Smith most of the night?

He had good position nearly everytime on his reciever - results in on offensive P.I call and hissy fit by Smith.

Yes, welcome back Blue.

Brady: 17-21, ~150 something yards, 2 TDs (should've been three had Watson not dropped one in the EZ)

Stallworth: Made a nice adjustment and fought off a PI non-call to catch a bomb/floater from Brady.

OL: In a word: great. I had no gripes with anyone's play.

Vince: Blocked two FGs, is a monster in the middle.

Meriweather: Hits hard, sure tackler, seems safety is his natural position.

AD: Looks good, though at times appears a bit tentative (probably still getting his responsibilities down).

Hobbs: Didn't really notice much, which of course is a good thing. He didn't get burnt.

Brady looked good underthrew Stallworth on the bomb but Stallworth is good on underthrown balls and made the adjustment. I thought Stallworth made Lucas look like a Rookie on about three straight passing plays, and Lucas should have been called for PI twice while trying to cover Stallworth. The O-Line looked good, and Brady rarely had any pressure. Vince was awsone at pushing the pile tonight, got one FG block, and basically caused the other block with his push. Meriweather had two very nice hits, one in which he stripped the ball away, but the ball carrier was called down. He looks more like a Safety than a CB, and should probably stay at Safety (where I've always wanted him). AD made some nice plays, and had a nice tackle for loss in the backfield. He also got beat to the outside by the Panthers RB (I think it was Williams, not sure if he was in) but for the most part he looked good. Hobbs looked good and I can't wait to get him and Samuel back together this season...could be something special.

I thought on the first block Vince pushed the pile while Green actually got the block? Kareem Brown helped push the pile on the second block.
