Good. Eff him up his effin' a.

Ill say it again....Go KILL yourself Michael Vick, you bring absolutely nothing useful to the human race.

At least the NFL is willing to act appropriately. I just heard on ESPN that because of the plea bargain and the fact that Vick has agreed to be an informant to the government that he will likely get less than a year in prison. WTF?

If Vick ever plays in the NFL again then I will not be the fan I am now.

Yup he deserves the suspension.
He needs to redeem himself to society before he is fit to put on the uniform.
How he is going to do that... well that's for him and the government to work out.

the fact that Vick has agreed to be an informant to the government.

government informant?

he is so f'd

they better not put that bugger in the witness protection program in my neck of the woods

goodell has been great for the NFL in my opinion.

i've loved all of his decisions thus far

I'm glad, not just becase he's guilty ,but because hopefully its over and we don't have to hear about vick any longer.Oh we'll hear about him now and then but not the day in day out coverage thats been going on. :rocker:

Indefinitely

Of course they suspended him indefinately... why would they set a date as of this point in time... there's two, three years to contemplate that and I'm sure the Commish will see whether Vick can be the least bit contrite and/or whether teams want to take a chance on him years down the road.

There's absolutely no upside to saying "never" or setting a definative timetable at this point in time.

Is anyone surprised?

Vick shouldn't be worried about that now either. The higher priority for him is avoiding prison **** Fights as a pentalty for engaging in Dog Fights.

Good. Now can this story please go away? I'm reading Tedy Bruschi's book with the Carolina game on in the background and I'm just shaking my head at the contrast between reading an inspirational story like Tedy's and hearing the talk about Vick the Human Garbage in the background. The whole thing has been so nauseating from start to finish. I'm thrilled I no longer have to see any Vick commercials anymore.

Has Nike completely dropped him yet?

eta: They have. Awesome!

I do not get what this enormous amount of outrage and fuss is all about. He killed a few pit bulls (pls notice I did not call them dogs). Legality aside, as far as NFL he should get 4, tops 8 games suspension. R. Lewis was involved in an incident where a human being was killed – where was the public and NFL outcry? L. Little killed a human while driving drunk after he already had one DUI – where the public outcry? And we are going bananas over a few dead pitt bulls? Give me a break. thx

He was running an organized crime ring, or did you miss that part of it?

Goodell is not going to let the Littles of the league have a free pass anymore.

Tags was a spineless twerp.

I wish Vick had never done this. Nobody wins. The guy had the world on a string and could not conduct himself in a "Legal" manner.

I do think if he takes his punishment and changes his behavior for good he should get another chance. I agree with the poster above about Ray Lewis and Leonard Little getting chances after people getting killed. Let's not forget Ray obstructed justice in a double murder.

I agree with the comparison other NFL players behavior, as I previously posted. However, you might read up on the dog fighting industry before you dismiss it as a few pit bulls. As a matter of fact, I have this bad feeling that some tragedy might result from Vick testifying. His deal supposedly involves him testifying against people involved in that industry. Listening to Mort's (ESPN) laundry list as demanded by the Fed, Vick has to jump and ask how high. I'm thinking, Vick probably has a great amount of information concerning that industry and a who's who of dog fighting. Wouldn't be hard to picture lots of influential players rubbing elbows with a star athlete. Wouldn't be a stretch to assume a high roller, or a bubba putting a stop to Vick testifying. I'm assuming Vick will be held in a secured part of prison. He should be, for his own safety. As mad as everyone is concerning Vick, death is not fair sentence.

WOW... You clearly don't understand the severity of the situation and the fact that it is Roger Gooddell who is now the commissioner and not Paul Tagliabue.

1) There was plenty of public outrage regarding Ray Lewis.
2) There was plenty of outrage regarding Leonard Little
3) 36 carcasses hardly qualifies as a "few dead pitbulls".

Vick was involved in a gambling ring and fronted the money for it. The NFL can ban him for life. Not to mention that the IRS will probably bring charges unless Vick has to go into hiding when he rats on all the other dog-fighting rings that he was involved with.
