Dear Mr. Kraft:

I would like to bring to your attention the thread titled: "Todd" Light. It summarizes a very serious problem with the presentation of your 'Patriots'. It is truly a shame that our first rate team has to be shown to us in a third rate manner. I request you do something about it.

Sincerely,

A Lot of Pats Fans

TV contracts are negotiated by the league, not the team. The Pats have no say over who commentates their games, you need to take it up with Roger Goodell. I'm sure he'll be along checking these forums at some point today so feel free to leave him a note.

they are both network announcers, they cant be that bad, i remember when the local stations would have the local sport anchors do the preseasons , that was bad, i think kraft has upgraded from there

With the money this league now generates there are no excuses for why ever game is not broadcast in hd even preseason! Really sucks spending two grand on a new LCD to have to watch what ever the hell that crap was Friday night! The absolute worst broad casted football game i have ever seen in my life!

My beef is more with the 50 year old camera equipment then the announcers, at least you can turn them off with mute if worst comes to worst.

Not sure this holds true for preseason games. Just like the scheduled opponents are arranged by the team and not the league. I think this is also locally arranged and the income goes to the team. Wasn't this one of the issues that they had when the new collective bargaining agreement was being debated?

Yes, he goes by the name Danny Boy.

Not true. The entirety of the preseason is in the hands of the teams. Everything from scheduling to announcers to game times, unless a national network wishes to pick up the game.

If you watch on NFL-N you will sometimes see the same announcers doing more than one team in the preseason. A few years ago, the Browns had the same color man as the Packers.

I am sure he has people who report back to him. No successful organization does not listen to feedback. And what better venue than this forum to give feedback?

Why don't you write directly to Kraft Productions? They are the ones who put on the telecast.

True enough. However this is not an isolated incident. Over the last few years the play by play announcing for Pats preseason games has gotten worse. However, now the camera work, audio synch, and graphics also sucked this time.
