This is becoming must read material after each game.

I agree with his comments about Brady but Stalloworth has to at least tackle the guy after the INT not just stand there like Duane Starks at a celebrity WR party.

An excellent evaluation of the game.

Bump from page 2. Good read for those of us missing the game.

– Harrison’s blast on Young was the signature play of the veteran’s night. But his work in coverage was more encouraging than anything, because that’s where he’d have trouble if age was catching up to him further. On his pass break-up down the side, Harrison was quick enough to come from close to the hash — covering the deep — and make it all the way to the sideline for the breakup. Then, there was a strong break he made to break up and nearly pick a hitch intended for Courtney Roby. If he’s got it back like he did last night, he gives the Patriots to move him down to linebacker in the nickel, or keep him deep, and he should help to fix some of the coverage problems the linebackers had last year.

Rodney.
Baby.
:rocker:

Nice observations and I agree with his assessment of Morris.

Maybe you should watch the play again. Stallworth slipped and fell. That's probably why the INT even happened. Byt the time he recovered and took off after the corner who made the pick, he was trailing pretty far behind and was blocked by another Titan.

I saw the slip which explains why he couldn't track the ball but he saw the ball go into the defenders hands and made a passive (very charitable) swipe at the CB, then a second defender came in, by then it was all over. Call it a general lack of awareness but it looked soft to me.

Just a quick note regarding Breer... the latest Scott's Shots column has the following blurb:

. . . It also looks as those the content-sharing agreement between the Herald and Gatehouse Media will be ending in the next two to six weeks (either Sept. 1 or Oct. 1), meaning guys like Albert Breer will no longer be found in the Herald and on the paper's website. That will impact the Herald's overall coverage of sports (and news as well), but it may have the biggest impact on the Pats' blog, where Breer has done yeoman's work.

Presumably that means Breer would still be available via the web (Metrowest Daily News etc) but not via the Herald. (And maybe not in blog form). What will the Herald do to replace him? And without Herald money coming in to help pay for him, will Breer still be able to do what he does?

Probably means little but bears watching.
