My pick for the biggest disappointment is Vince Young.

Let me first say that I'm a huge UT fan. It was a great feeling knowing that as soon as the Longhorns stopped Lendale White short of the 1st down, Vince was going to march down the field and win the national championship. I also believe that had he stayed for his senior year, he would have left considered as the best player in college football history. I think many already think of him as the best big game player ever.

I watched him develop at Texas and I expect him to be a very good NFL QB down the road. It just won't be this year.

He has a long way to go in the NFL. I think people, especially Titans fans, will expect too much of him this year because of how at times last season he flashed that magic he had in college, the ability to simply win games.

The Titans aren't that great of a team and they definately took a hit both defensively and on special teams with the loss of Pacman. His supporting cast on offense isn't very great and the defense was the worst in the NFL last year even with Jones so it's going to be a struggle.

My opinion has nothing to do with the Madden curse or the sophmore slump, it's basically that people will expect wins that he can't deliver all by himself.

Your question is a bit complicated - Will they dissapoint in terms of 2nd year player (like who you picked),Rookie player or a player which has been around for 10 years ect?

What type of dissapointing player are you referring to?

Any player expected to do well.

Randy Moss is coming off two sub-par seasons but now he's being named with Chad Johnson and Terrell Owens when it comes to fantasy football.

People will expect more out of Reggie Bush. Guys like Tomlinson and Manning are always expected to do well.

Again, anyone, regardless of their time in the NFL.

I'll go with Cutler in Denver.

O.K. In that case I say Shaun Alexander of the Seahawks will have a subpar year and Jason Taylor of the Dolphins

Taylor because he seems to not be thrilled being with a mediocre team anymore and will retire likely next year,I don't think we will see the usual tenacity he has and he has said negative things in the media already about his team.

As far as Alexander goes he seems to have lost a step as age does to you even though hes not too old,I just think he will struggle this year.

Vince Young is a good pick - not a good NFL passer yet, no WRs, no running game, off the chart expectations.

I'd say Matt Schaub is not going to be what the Texans paid for this year - he is another guy with almost nothing to work with.

I agree with your Vince Young pick, he was VASTLY over rated last year. Much more credit should've gone to Travis Henry and his 1200 yards, Keith Bullock and his 150+tackles, and Pacman and his 4 TDs (defensive/returns.)

I'm also going to take a pick that will be very unpopular around these parts, go figure, and take the unit of the Pats receivers. Based on the expectations I've read around here, I think Moss, Stallworth and especially Welker will fail to meet expectations.

I will take the entire Dolphins management on their draft strategy.

Oh wait.

They already failed.

Aren't you banned yet?

And in other surprising news, the sun rose in the east this morning.

If they don't meet expectations, it's only because those expectations are nearly stratospheric already.

Jamarcus Russell. Matter of fact, he is ALREADY a disappointment. Not that I'm crying for ole' Al and his Faiders.

We all know how credible you are...but why? Why do you expect them to have sub-par years? Stallworth played good in New Orleans with a **** QB, and played good last year until he got injured, so that means he will play bad with a good QB? And Randy Moss, he did bad in OAK because he had no one to throw him the ball, simple as that, and he couldn't even get 5 yards down the field before his QB was sacked.

And Wes Welker having a sub-par year? He's a consistent player that will play in the slot mostly, I don't really see how a slot player can have a bad year unless he drops like 10 passes, which won't happen.

If you're going to take a shot at your most hated team, at least have it make sense. I thought you'd go with AD because of the new complicated 3-4 defense, I guess I was wrong.

You pick 4 players, and 3 are on the Pats? Are you sure you're not confusing "think" with "hope"?

I'm going to say Larry Johnson. He's was worked too hard last year with too many carries, his O-line has really deteriorated the past couple seasons, and with NO passing game teams are going to put 8 in the box all the time to stop him.

Did you not read the first post? It's players, not management, try to stay on task. Oh that's right, whenever I say something about the Pats, the only replies I ever get are shots at the Dolphins. Surprising!

if you hadn't noticed travis, you generally receive responses that are measurably vitriolic or asinine in comparison to your posts

perhaps your insights should begin with a little self-assesment

start with: 'why i, travis w., spend an inordinate amount of my time posting on a forum that consists primarily of adults, many of whom are far more educated than i, and of which a majority of regular members find my posts tedious, repetitive, inaccurate and/or hogwash and/or drivel'

expound on that and make it your next blog entry, and I will never respond to your posts on any forum again

Fold The Tent Green will be have to be labotomized if he makes it through half a year behind that OL. There's just no way.

That makes my pick obvious: John Beck. 2nd round flop. Maybe Cleo Lemon can keep the Mahi-Mahi from 0H and 16.

We will also find out that Zach Thomas was sleeping with Jason Taylor's wife before they got married.

This is EZ... Jake Delhomme will disappoint the Panthers again.
He is the most over-rated QB in the league. He had one good year mostly on a great defense and Steve Smith on O. Since than he has done nothing.
After this year, the fans will realize he was a 1 yr wonder.

mods, please move to the inter-league forum

i want a response from this antagonist

My 2007 MVP of the "All-Disappointment Team" is Tony Romo, just a feeling he'll be a bust.

I think the worst free agent performance in 2007 will be Joey "all hat and no cattle" Porter.
