You'd expect a little bit more from the NFL's own site!!!!

Re: Want to see Welker's TD or Harrison's sack?

What a hit from Rodney. Wow. Also, before the video played, they had a commercial with Marques Colston. Wow, that guy can catch a ball.

I have seen that commercial in a few places, it is very impressive. I am not sure what catch is better the one behind his back or the on from the side that he catches one handed on the laces not the tip. really cool stuff.

I imangine most recievers can do that type stuff kinda like golf players and their trick shots (tiger has some cool ones).

Re: Want to see Welker's TD or Harrison's sack?

What is completely annoying about those video highlights (that I otherwise am thrilled are posted there) is that you can't rewind if you want to see something again. It takes you all the way back to the beginning of the highlights.

Am I missing something?

You CAN rewind; I did it.

IIRC, you just drag the slider at the bottom.

Re: Want to see Welker's TD or Harrison's sack?

Too bad they didn't show Gostowski's tackle, I think that was the biggest cheer of the night after Harrison's sack.

It's interesting that ESPN just repeated the error (? Hickman) at about 4:30 PM. In addition to calling the Bills QB, "PJ "Losman and referring to this as the third pre-season game for the Browns....(it's the second)
Everyone can make one mistake but three all in about a two minute span shows either a) they were cribbing from the NFL.com site or b) carelessness to the nth degree or c) they don't know that much about the sport that they are covering.

Re: For those who missed Rodney's hit on Vince Young...

A great sack, but a freaky little video in parts. The celebratory, music-driven closeup of a player's face twisted in pain as he writhes on the ground? Or the guy who dove and made a tackle even though he had already lost his helmet, thus--surprise, surprise--coming away with a face injury, woo-hoo? Maybe the we're-so-very-concerned-about-concussions league shouldn't be celebrating that as a model of the game?

Re: For those who missed Rodney's hit on Vince Young...

As much as I enjoyed Rodney's hit, I really could have done without seeing Brady getting drilled. I'm just glad I didn't see that live.

Re: For those who missed Rodney's hit on Vince Young...

Right, they shouldn't make best hit videos. Lets just close our eyes, cover our ears and pretend football isn't a violent sport.

I'm not trying to belittle the concussion issue or the long-term effect the violence in the NFL has on the players bodies. However, save me the self-righteousness. It doesn't mean we can't appreciate a hard hit. Like it or not, it is a big reason for the game's popularity.

BTW, kudos to Vince Young for holding onto the football. Given how Rodney caught him square in the chest and knocked him down, I'm surprised the ball didn't come loose.

I noticed that about the hit. Not that Vince held on, but that Rodney didn't even attempt a strip sack. Had it been the regular season, I think he would have attempted it and successfully dislodged the ball. But being that he wanted to put Young on the ground like their defense was doing to Brady and it's just a preseason game that doesn't count anyway.... Boom.

no doubt...[**offensive material deleted**]...maybe it should be flag football. anyway, rodney lit him up but it would've been a much better hit 10 years ago when he could have put his helmet under vince's chin. imo.
