Adam Schein says Bengals have now equaled or surpassed Indy as AFC powers

What is this constant infatuation with the Bengals year after freakin year! Every year almost all the so called experts start swinging from Palmer's johnson, and every year they turn in sub par performances! Not to mention they have not even won one single playoff game, but yet they are better then a team that won it all last year?

Colts
Pats
Chargers

These are the elite teams, the Bengals can not hold a candle to any of them! This reminds me of how every year on the NFC side the panthers always seem to be the big pick and cant even get out of their own way once the real games start!

2 years ago, Carson Palmer was injured early in a playoff game against the Steelers. The Steelers went on to win that game and the title. Many people, not just Bengals fans, believe that the Bengals would have won that game if Palmer had not gotten injured.

Adam on his Sirius radio show today says that Cincinnati has come up to the level of Indianapolis and may have even surpassed Indy as an AFC power.

Schien was misunderstood...

When he said the Bengals would go 14-2 he meant 14 indicted and 2 convicted.

I still take the Colts, better QB, better offense, better coach and veteran experience.

Some here say the Bengals can't be considered a contender because they have not won a playoff game with their current core group but consider the Chargers a contender who have not won one either despite having an extra opportunity. The last few years both have flipflopped. SD going 12-4 Cinci 8-8 then SD 9-7 Cinci 11-5 then SD 14-2 and Cinci 8-8.

I'm not saying they're better than the Colts just that we shouldn't react to last season and expect things to be the same this year when zero games have been played. If San Diego is in the conversation then so is Baltimore, Cinci, Jax, Ptt and Denver. Teams boom and bust year to year. I think we see the Pats with double digit wins every year and don't realize that the rest of the league isn't as consistent as NE and Indy. But then we include them as one of the elite when they go 14-2 or 13-3. A boom year. But the same team follows it up with 9-7 or 8-8 and we conclude they're an also-ran. A bust year. This year they can't hang their hat on last years record.

PS Chris Henry is better than the Colts 2007 #1 draft pick.

Better at getting arrested.

I didn't say he was a good person. On my team I'd rather have Tony. But when it comes to catching balls, and getting arrested for giving 19 year old girls liquor, Henry is much better.

Considering Gonzales has yet to play in a actual NFL regular season game I'd say you can't make that comparison just yet
