There, nobody had the guts, but I think he's going to make this team.

I know it's just a hunch on your part but I think your on to something. ;)

You know, someday he WILL be gone. I wonder if he'd do a couple twilight years with another team, a la Joe Montana. That seems unthinkable at this point. Could you imagine Brady coming to Foxboro in another uniform? I hope it never happens. Enjoy it while it lasts, because his career is at least half finished.

This is an excellent point and FANTASTIC satire. After all, the number of people on this board who were sure Brady was a lock is pretty much equal to those of us who assumed Pierre Woods was a lock.

Feeble.

It's an interesting question, because you know the minute Belichick feels Brady no longer gives the team the best chance to win, he'll replace him, no questions asked.

Will Brady still want to play football at that point? If he really does, he might sign on with another team. My guess is by that point he'll be ready to enter the next part of his life, he just doesn't seem like a one-trick pony.

I didn't mean to imply your Woods pick was unspectacular, I was more laughing at "OK, I'll say it". It sounds like you're making a major sacrifice to bring us your pick. Not a problem, just sounds funny.

I'll second Pujo's first.

Can we get a third and pass this darn thing ..........

I think Brady dreams of playing in San Francisco as QB of the Niners,I think of all teams he was pissed at for passing on him till the sixth round he is most mad at the 49ers FO...I am sure at age 36 or so he will take a deep look at trying to join the niners team.

So even though Tom's heart is here I think he may retire in a 49er uniform if he had a choice of any other team but ours to leave the league from - Then again maybe he stays here all his career but as a NFL fan you know thats EXTREMELY rare, Marino type players just don't happen much anymore.

Maybe so as a one-year backup or something like that, due to childhood loyalties.

But if he still feels he wants to win (which is more likely) then I doubt SF would be his destination. The Pats have proven to him how important the organization is to success, and by comparison the Niners ownership and front office now are a bunch of trained monkeys. This is not the same team he grew up with, which achieved greatness with Eddie Debartolo and Bill Walsh at the helm. (And let's hope we're not saying the same thing about the Patriots 20 years from now.)
