I'm worried they are going to try to hurt him again...It would be awful if we lost him because they were going after his knees...

The scumbag who did it, Wade, is now on the Vikings.

(But Mawae could still rear his ugly head...)

Well, if that was suppose to make me feel better, it didn't... I'm kinda hoping he doesn't, it is preseason.. Better be safe, than sorry...

Yeah he's on the vikings because he's a worthless piece of crap receiver that is completely unreliable.

Rodney will bring a little something extra for them.

I don't mean to come off sounding as if they should back down, if indeed there is a carry over in the first place. However,I would like to see him held out - knowing Rodney, the man is pissed and will go nuts.

I realize Wade is gone, but it was the actions of other teammates and coach Fisher that ticked Rodney, Bruschi and many others off after the play.

Tenn. plays dirty - plain and simple. I used to respect Fisher and was really surprised to see that sinister look in his eye after the play had happened.

I am not sure if this team will carry a grudge or not. As a fan, I just don't know if they call it last year, turn the page and have moved on - or, if this date was circled by Rodney and others.

Bottom line, we need Rodney so for that reason I think it is better to have him save his revenge for the playoffs - IF Tenn. makes it.

what's the over/under on personal foul penalties???

This one could get rough. They were pretty upset with Vinny going in to throw that NFL record TD pass. Colvin also got them mad by taunting their coaching staff during the game.

Pacman Jones won't play either and he was one of the trouble makers on the Vikings as well.

About Mawae, clearly he hates the Patriots, but I also saw him go on TV a few years back blasting preseason saying it is pointless and just puts players at an risk unnecessarily. I haven't really watched him but I doubt Mawae goes full speed in preseason if that's how he feels about it.

Titans remembered

Safety Rodney Harrison [stats] had little interest in discussing the fact that his 2006 season ended against the Tennessee Titans [team stats], this week’s preseason foe. Harrison will probably take to his grave that Bobby Wade’s block on him was illegal, but he’s moving on.

Wade, incidentally, signed a free agent deal with Minnesota and won’t be in town this weekend.

“It has no bearing on what’s going on with me and our team,” Harrison said. “Last year is last year. It’s a new team we have. They have a new team. It’s a matter of going out there and executing and seeing what happens.”

Tomase wrote this in the injury update in the Herald... Found it interesting... Rodney isn't concerned, and that makes me feel a little bit better... lol..

Meriweather and Wilson and Gay need work as do the many untested backups, so I don't see him playing much.

Also, depite the chipiness of that game and the presence of the dirtiest player in football (Mawae), I didn't see anything dirty about the block on Rodney.

Seems to my memory, he was trying to vault over someone to make a play and he was blocked.

It's not like he kicked him in the knee or something.

It was easy to see, yet the refs didn't call anything. Of course I'm going on memory, but that was my impression.

You and me both, however there were press reports quoting players after they'd seen tape and they were none too pleased with the non-call.

The game didn't play here so I wasn't able to watch it, I had just heard from media coverage, and some of the Pats players commenting on it... I know they weren't pleased about the hit...

To say that game was chippy, was an understatement and I heard there were some unsportsmanlike remarks.

What I saw was a play which prevented the defensive player from penetrating.

If his intent was to take his knee out, no one could know, but that's what was in front of him as far as I remember. And the play was legal.

Yeah, we can all speculate as to the intent of the play, but apparently Bruschi vents some of his anger regarding that play/game in his new book. One perspective I would love to hear from is BB. If we could get his true candid thoughts on the play, then that would be good enough for me. Of course we would only get BB coach speak, but that's just fine too.

Or he'd tell you in an ancient Mandarin dialect that no one alive still speaks.:bricks:
