Schedule this year? After all they are the defending SB champs (of course they wouldn't be had we not given it away to them.....still bitter) ;)

But seriously, after all of our SB victories we were given a kick ***** difficult schedule...Must be the work of that d-bag Polian.

The Colts had this 2007 schedule in 2002, just as they had their 2010 schedule in 2002.

we had a relatively easy schedule last year.

Schedules are pre determined.

Didn't realize that....so the season we had 2 years ago, the hardest schedule in NFL history as I recall them saying....we're going to have to go through that he## again??!! thx

not really.

playoff teams/borderline playoffs (and teams that should of been very competitive)
-Jets 2x
-Dolphins (remember all the "SB talks" last year?)
-Jaguars(almost..we ruined it for them)
-Bengals (1 game away)
-Bears
-Colts
-Broncos (should have been better)

before the season started we had a tough schedule. after season..wasnt as hard

Schedules are determined way in advance..so its not like theyj ust won the SB and get awarded an easy schedule

remember, it is different each time because some teams get better, and some get worse.

relatively easy, compared to this year. it wasn't an easy schedule (like you pointed out), but in the afc, we couldn't ask for too much better. We didn't have to face any other playoff teams during the year besides the Jets, Colts, and Bears--no Chargers, Ravens, Saints, and the rest.

Last season we didn't face many playoff teams because we helped to eliminate those teams from the playoffs like Jax and Tenn and Cin and Green Bay and Buffalo. All borderline they finnished 8-8. Buffalo went 7-9 but we beat them twice. Things play out differently and the Pats schedule looks a whole lot harder.

Strength of Schedule is used by fans as an excuse for not living up to expectations. It's used against overachievers like the Jets. The season is what you make of it. SOS is a hindsight tool not a predictive tool.

Sort of. This whole "toughest schedule" is based on how teams did the previous year. It can't really be used to gauge how the new year will play out. For example, the Pats and Jets were reported to have easy schedules last year. However, reality was thaty they were a lot tougher than people realized. But you can only determine how tough the schedule really was after it was played. Because teams change every year.

All four Division winners from the AFC will play each other this season. Both Pats and Colts have 2 of these 3 games on the road. We also have N.O., Denver, Jax twice. Throw in a road game at Panthers and ATL (presumably a different team if Vick were there) and it has the makings of a challenging schedule. Also, before the season began, KC(playoff team last season) looked to be a team that might be trouble, and I suppose with LJ, they might be. Who knows what Tenn and Houston will show. In any event, I think the AFC north is a brutal division, and you guys get that division this season, so at this point, I would have to say your SOS is more difficult than ours.

BTW, the argument that someone brought up about "knocking teams out" of the playoffs by beating them last season is bogus. Colts beat Jax, and Jax was a game away from PO's. Ditto with Denver last year. LAME argument.

It was only hell because of how the teams stacked up. You can't tell from year to year how a team is going to do. Because of that, how hard the schedule is can't be figured out until after the season is played.

Its only a LAME argument if you don't understand what you are talking about. Jared's presentation was somewhat flawed because he didn't go in depth enough. Your argument is just plain DUMB.

Not sure how much clearer it can be. What your saying is, when New England wins, they reduce their opponents chances of making the playoffs by nailing them with a loss, but this theory does not apply to other teams?

Colts and Donks were undefeated going into the game at Denver in week 7 (IIRC). The Colts fully demoralized that team with their hard fought victory. Those boys never recovered. Jax, while meeting us early in the Dome, couldn't nail down a victory, we separated ourselves from the other teams in the South, and took care of the Division early. A win by Jax at Colts, and that might have provided the momentum needed for them to steal the Division. Cincy came calling on a Monday night, one week after an embarrassing 375 at the hands of the Jags. They were primed for a playoff push, but were denied. Tell me again how this theory applies to NE, but NOT to the Colts??

It appears as though YOU are the incompetent one.
