10. Marshawn Lynch, Bills: We see a huge rookie year for the hard-charging Lynch. As long as they keep him away from any motorized vehicles.

11. Ronnie Brown, Dolphins: Cam Cameron turn Brown into the next L.T.
12. Laurence Maroney, Patriots: With Corey Dillon gone, the second-year stud will get plenty of touches.

15. Thomas Jones, Jets: Jones goes from a two-back system to an offense in which he can become the next Curtis Martin

Not sure how the rook gets the nod over Maroney. Or, for that matter, the very average looking Brown.

They are probably betting on the Pats to air it out. Not so much the Phins and the Bills. Buffalo is a running environment and the Phins... well, the Phins have Trent Green.

I've always thought profootballtalk was a subpar website. That article further solidifies my opinion. How is Larry Johnson not top 3??

Well I'm taking Maroney over those guys whether for fantasy or real football. Is Maroney too low ? Probably not, but he is compared to those two who I think are too high.

So would I. I think Maroney will do about as well as James did in those Colt offenses of yesteryear.

this is probably because they think "Moss-Stallworth-Welker?...PASSSING!!"

which is wrong. Maroney will see a lot of touches regardless of the additions

I wouldn't put it that way at all. Their strength is in following the machinations of the NFL: the finances, the CBA, player misdeeds, and the media -- I think they do that better than anyone. Their weakness has always been football analysis. Last year, Florio took a few trips to training camps and he was something of a wide-eyed freshman reporter.

Lets hope, James is one of the most productive backs in NFl history. He has been the league 8 years and here are his averages (this includes one year where he only played 6 games):
- almost 1300 yards per year
- 50 cathes per year
- 10 TDs per year (almost 9 rushing and 1 receiving)
- 1700 combined yards

Key Word "FANTASY"............the Patriots spread everything out so the players don't make very good "fantasy" picks.

I'd still take Maroney over those two, I expect he'll have bigger spaces to run in and he's a much more explosive runner. Unfortunately I made a bad trade in my league so my first pick isn't until the mid 30s so any of the three is a pipe dream for me :bricks:

Reggie Bush is at 28. Ouch.

Don't lend credence to anything PFT rankings and the like. They left Tom Brady out of their Top 25 from the last 25 years thing. Some of the players they put ahead of him were just laughable.

IIRC these are fantasy rankings, not the actual rankings. He might feel that with all the receivers in NE, there will be less rushing yards for Maroney or need for rushing yards versus Buf where they may have to rely more heavily on Lynch not that they don't adequate receivers in Evans,Price and Reed.

Weird, Lynch should be bottom on that list. Ronnie Brown will flirt with 2000 total yards if he's healthy this year. Feel free to write that down and quote it in your sig.

I realy shoudn't touch this post. It's a typical aqua post. On one hand since Green will probably be out quickly with another concusion, that would mean Brown would get more carries. He should get more carries anyways, just to keep the pressure off Green. But Miami's ol isn't that good, and the more carries Brown gets the more likely he gets hurt. So I don't see Brown reaching 2,000 yrd's.

It'll fit perfectly with your Wes Wleker is awesome posts last year and your Wes Welker is nothing special posts this year, same with Culpepper, wo went from better than Tom Brady to of-course-we-cut-him-he-never-was-that-good.

I don't suppose you'd care to make a bet on that 2000 yard prediction, with say a donation to the Bread of Life as the loser's payoff.

Why don't you pay off your last bet

and then make another one.

We can add it to the list of other famous Aquaboy quotes... like:

Now we have a pro bowler [Culpepper] at quarterback who will lead us to a division title. I GUARENTEE IT! You guys are done and the sooner you admit it and realize it, the better off everyone will be.
How'd that guarantee work out?

Oh and Ricky's appeal is tomorrow where he is expected to be freed of punishment because it was only a missed test rather than a failed test.
Darn, you'd almost be psychic ...if you weren't, um, wrong.

But, next year you guys will NOT be the division champion. Mark my words now, THE DOLPHINS WILL WIN THE AFC EAST IN 06!!!
Oooohhh.... another one, sooooo close.

Culpepper, Brown, Williams, Chambers, McMichael, Booker, Welker... man you guys should be worried because that is murders row on offense!
Worried. Heh.

So don't tell me my argument is dumb because the Fins are a vastly improved team and will kick the s*** out of the Pats two times this year and run away with the AFC East. You guys just don't see anything other New England Patriots football and it really scews your vision on the rest of the league/division. If you think the Fins are another year away, you're a moron!
Pssst... Who's the moron? Might want to use a little more care before throwing around insults.

Bah.... too easy. I'm done.
