Reiss listed who was present at Wednesday's practice, as the veterans got the day off. Out of these names, who do you think has a good chance of making the team (aside from Meriweather) or making the PS?

Punters: Tom Malone, Danny Baugher

Quarterbacks: Matt Gutierrez

Receivers: Bam Childress, C.J. Jones, Chris Dunlap, Kelvin Kight

Running backs: Quinton Smith

Tight ends: Matt Kranchick, Garrett Mills

Offensive line: Mike Elgin, Brian Barthelmes, Corey Hilliard, Gene Mruczkowski, Clint Oldenburg

Defensive backs: Willie Andrews, Mel Mitchell, Brandon Meriweather, Dante Wesley, Larry Anam, Gemara Williams, Mike Richardson

Linebackers: Corey Mays, Kyle Bissinger, Oscar Lua, Justin Rogers

Defensive line: Rashad Moore, Zach West, Le Kevin Smith, Kareem Brown, Kenny Smith

I hope Bam...he's done very well thus far and hes more versatile than Washington and Caldwell...he bring quickness which Gaffney and Caldwell don't have (from last year). He's also a returnman and hes played D.

Richardson makes it...he's done very well and we need CBs and also Andrews/Mays for ST.

Of this list, Bam Childress, Garrett Mills, Gene Mruczkowski, Clint Oldenburg, Willie Andrews, Mel Mitchell, Brandon Meriweather, Dante Wesley, Corey Mays, Oscar Lua, Justin Rogers, Le Kevin Smith, and Kareem Brown are my guess as the most likely having best chance of making either the 53-man roster or the PS.

I forgot Richardson. I think Childress will move ahead of Washington on the depth chart after Friday's game. I still think the way Caldwell has been coming on the last week that there is no way Childress can overtake him.

As far as who makes the active roster and who winds up on the PS, I havent have the slightest. I also like Bam Childress, but it's a serious numbers game at WR.

I was very surprised when he didn't make the 53 last season. He played very well in PS games...dove for balls...made plays after catch. With the way we were last year...I thought Bam was a lock to be on 53 but guess not. Then he went to PS and I was surprised nobody took him.

P: Baugher - 53 or PS

QB: Gutierrez - PS

RB: nobody

WRs: Bam - PS or trade

TE: Mills; Kranchick - PS?

OL: Elgin - PS; Oldenberg - PS; (not included: Yates, if healthy; Britt)

DB: Andrews, Meriweather, Mitchell, Wesley (not included: Gay); Richardson - PS

LB: Lua (not included - Woods); Rogers - 53 or PS

DL: wide open; 6 players vying for probably 2 spots
S Thomas - LK Smith - K Brown
Z West - R Moore - K Smith
Either LeKevin or Rashad Moore probably wins the backup NT spot, leaving 4 players vying for 1 spot.

I thought the same thing when I saw the list. I reminds me of college when they say take a look around you, odds are the person on your right and on your left will be gone.

Obviously you went to college years ago B4 the Vietnam era when colleges stopped cuting kids to become draft bait.

Well, that's not entirely correct.

Bam survived the cut to 53 on 9/1, was cut on 9/3 (Smith claimed), signed to the practice squad on 9/4, elevated to the 53-man on 9/9 (Smith cut) and was active for the Bills opener. He was then cut on 9/12 (Smith re-signed), re-signed to the practice squad on 9/13, and elevated to the 53-man roster again on 12/13 (Smith was cut again on 10/2).

Isn't this the 17th time we discussed this?

That won't happen this year, guaranteed (if he still has any PS time left) if he is on the PS, either the Jets or the Titans swoop in to claim him, unless they have already swiped Kelley Washington from the scrap heap.
