Bruschi's Book

One of my favorite football parts relates to the San Diego playoff game. Tedy says that Rivers was running his mouth the entire game. Finally, Vrabel says to Rivers that he will never be as good a QB as Drew Brees. He points at Rivers and says you know it and then points at the huddle and says they know it too. Shut Rivers up...at least for awhile.

LOL That is classic. BB's penchant for really bright guys to run his system even pays dividends in the smack talking phase of the game...

I wait for the indepth book regarding how the Patriots make decisions particularly around draft day, have read bits and pieces on players blogs, but still salivating as to how the hierarchy is actually run at this time of the season, who says what, how decisions are made, how players are weighted etc. Many of the books are good, but none have really hit the level I desire.. the Halberstam and Pierce books were the best so far, with the Holley books close behind.

Finished the book and enjoyed it, but like in "Patriot Reign" left me wanting more info and more depth about the Patriots. The Holley Books are a quick read, but always leave me wanting more.. really enjoy all the anecdotal info on how the Patriots are run and all the uniqueness of the Patriot Players, but this book is like an appetizer just wets the appetite.
The problem is this isn't "The Story of the New England Patriots", it's about Bruschi. Based on that, I think the book goes into excellent detail. How the Patriots are run ? You'll have to wait until Belichick and/or Pioli retire and write a book.

There is an article up on ESPN about Bru and takes an excerpt from his book about his stroke and what he went through that fateful morning.

Here is the link to the article --> http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2952459

I am definitely going to pick up this book now.

Oh, I know.. agree the book gave some terrific insight into Bruschi, his family, the man, his illness and some tidbits about the team. My point is every book I read makes me want to know more about the real inner workings of this team, and maybe I have to wait until they retire.. but inquiring minds want to know.

Personally my fave is when he took a few choice shots @ Dennis and Callahan, I remember their rants well about how selfish Bruschi was for coming back. One thing I enjoy most, is the interpersonal anecdotal information, like the stuff about Kraft, BB, Training Staff, Vrabel, Harrison, Seymour and #12. I like it when these guys become personal and you understand their struggles, and not just players on the field.

Bruschi write book.
Book GOOD!
You buy book.
Read book.
Bruschi like!

Karen will kill me if she see's me making fun of Bruschi quoting him like that

What did Bruschi say about Vrabel in the book? I'm assuming positive stuff?
