Re: Andy Hart blogging today's practice 08/7/07

It came against a scout offense led by Matt Gutierrez, but Tedy Bruschi just recorded an interception from New England’s sub defense. Bruschi cut in front of a short route and ran straight for the end zone.

Go Tedy!!!!!!!!

Good stuff indeed. Real behind the scenes.

I have to say the Patriots.com staff has done a great job with this blog. I've really enjoyed them relaying little tid bits about practice. Much better than waiting for Reiss' 5 thoughts after it's over. They have fast become one of my favorite sites during training camp. And no, I'm not Tom Casale.

Case in point;

A pigeon with a death wish was just standing on the field through a full play of practice. AFter the play Eugene Wilson chased the bird away. That’s the insight you only get here at PFW.

Re: Andy Hart blogging today's practice 08/7/07

Very encouraging.
Especially about Mills.

Were Moss and Stallworth at practice today??

Anyone know if Moss and Stallworth were at practice today?? Maybe they are sitting out until Friday's preseason game.

Re: Were Moss and Stallworth at Practice today??

Stallworth was, Moss wasn't.

Blogs are your friends:

Patriots Football Weekly blog

Reiss' Pieces (Boston Globe) blog

The Point After (Boston Herald) blog

So there's no need really to wait until the camp reporters get back. These guys always blog straight from the practice, take attendance, and post it within minutes of the practice starting, nevermind ending.

That's where we always get our answers on these types of questions...hours before.

Today, for example, there was a 2:30 practice. Here's when each blogger reported the attendance, and thus reported whether or not Moss/Stallworth were present:

Mike Reiss, 2:33 PM

Andy Hart, 2:39 PM

Albert Breer, 2:42 PM

Re: Were Moss and Stallworth at Practice today??

Wow. EXACT duplicate post :D

No offense to my friends Zippo and BeliFan ...
but my first thought, after checking the (also identical) timestamps was
"An infinite number of monkeys pecking randomly at an infinite number of typewriters ... "

Well, you know the rest.
At least those senior enough to remember what a typewriter was.

Also nice to read some more good about Morris.
That's been a while.

Re: Andy Hart blogging today's practice 08/7/07

If you read Breer's blog about Mills he seems to think differently.

And if you read Casale on Sammy Morris, HE thinks differently too!

... Sammy Morris struggled once again in his pass blocking. Morris will need to improve on his blocking if he plans on seeing the field in passing situations this season…

Can't figure out why if these guys see the same thing how their reporting isn't in sync. Can understanding slight differences, but some of this is 180 out. I guess we filter ourselves and take solice in that BB and the staff are watching all of this very closely.

That is why Reiss is #1. You get facts, observations, accuracy - but no opinions regarding talent & performance that is much better left to those that really know what they are looking at - the coaches.

Not that I don't enjoy reading those opinions and think Breer, Casale and all the rest are doing a great job.

Not to mention suffered through typing classes constrained by coordination at least as good as that of a drunken infant.

Welcome to people see the darnedest things, just ask anyone who has ever had to interview witnesses at an accident or crime scene. Check out the game thread here Friday and look for rebuttals later in the week from the folks rewatching the recording or attending in person - great fun!

Good point. I enjoy all the blogging, but Reiss is tremendously objective IMO.

It's really hard not to have favorites, even when you don't realize it.

I don't recall Reiss seeming like he had pre-conceived opinions, while it is obvious for most of the others at times.
