Article on Oscar Lua and some other stuff...

Re: Article on Oscar Lua and some other stuff..

I'm sure Heath Evans has put away a couple of Dunkin' Donuts away in that muscle around his waist line. It's got everything to do with that during the offseason he doesn't experience a withdrawl from one of his cravings.

I thought it was funny when the article mentioned a 'slimmed down' version of the media guide, then talked about Heath Evans as a 'Dunkin Donuts' entreprenuer

Both 'Slimmed Down' and 'Dunkin Donuts' referrals should NEVER be in the same paragraph :D

"Right now, I'm just trying to fit in, listen to the coaches, feed off their feedback and take every play for what it is," he said.

I wonder whether some agents run their clients thru a mini-course
in Pats-speak, the official language of One Patriot Place?

Do the position coaches also coach them on how to do interviews?

Or does the front office simply filter for this kind of thinking
in those it acquires?

I was thinking the same thing.

And then I wondered: what if they were drafted by a different team. Is there a Jets-speak or a Dolphins-speak? What would it sound like?

"I gave up my cravings for Dunkin Donuts and now i've slimmed down" <-- this works ;)

Lets hope Dolphins speak sounds nothing like Aqua or Feel the Pain.

I feared it was something like: "I'm thrilled to be on a team that is going to win the division and go deep into the playoffs ..."

I wonder whether:

A. Some agents run their clients thru a mini-course
in Pats-speak, the official language of One Patriot Place?

B. Do the position coaches also coach them on how to do interviews?

C. Or does the front office simply filter for this kind of thinking
in those it acquires?

I used to think it was answer "B.", but now I think its mostly: "C."

I'm starting to wonder about this Lua kid. Sounds intelligent. Has good athletic skills. If he can kick butt on ST, he might make the practice squad.

It would be great if some of the younger LBs can get some game experience on defense this year (Woods, Lua, Rogers, Alexander). It will really help the depth for 2008+ as Bruschi may be gone and Seau is almost a slam dunk to retire after this year.

It cracks me up that after a year in Massachusetts, the local culture that Evans absorbed is the need for a Dunkin on every corner! Seriously, the DDD (Dunkin Donuts Density) numbers are insane in my neck of the woods.

Ummm . . . if he can kick butt on ST, he might make the 53.

True in many parts of greater New England.
But i see his point. Right now what has Dixie got except Krispy Kreme - which has to be
wolfed down warm to be any good?

I drive quite a bit throughout northeastern NY state. DD is slowly beginning to penetrate there
... and none too soon!
Stewart's coffee cannot compare to the pink 'n brown.

Out west, where my wheels also roll a lot, nothing but myriad Starbucks knock-offs plus plenty of the real thing
beckon the caffeine-challenged traveler.
This is why western roadsides can seem like a real wasteland ... despite the awesome scenery.

Heath will be performing a valuable service to his fellow man!

So are probably alot of fat people..it goes with the territory;)

Think so? Well, if he has the physical skills, posesses great football insticts and can bring athleticism and youth to the ILB group, why not?

As proof of DD's influence on World Cuisine: 25 years ago, my outfit was flying back to MCAS Iwakuni, Japan from NAS Cubi Point, Philippines. Our C-141 needed repairs, so we were given a day pass off-base. After we walked out the main gate, at the first intersection, was a DD. This blew my mind. I had no idea that DD operated outside of MA, never mind halfway around the world.

Also: I don't drink coffee, but my wife says that, if made properly, DD's coffee is the best she's ever had.

There's so many of them that it seems like they're trying to put themselves out of business. Honey Dew Donuts is starting to make inroads too, unless you're in Provincetown where they're called Honeys Don't Do Nuts.

The main donut shops in my area are 2 junk places in one building, they are a combination of Dunkin Donuts and Baskin Robbins - Can America get any fatter with all these types of places? .

Only in these types of places can you grab a donut and wash it down immediately with a nice big shake

"The sky is green."
"We don't have any offense to speak of, but I think we'll make the playoffs."
