From today's Boston Globe. Great piece by Malloy.

I'm in awe of this man. What a class act. We are lucky to have this guy around- even if he's 12 years away from AARP membership! Another reason to win #4- for Junior!

"If I didn't have an opportunity to come back and say thank you to the fans and to the people that embraced me while I was here, I wouldn't have been able to live with myself," Seau said.

"The time that I had last year was very special. For me to come here and the fans and the community to embrace me the way they did was special. It made me want to work for them."

Patriots doctors confirmed in the locker room that Seau had broken his arm and wouldn't be able to play for the rest of the season. He was on a flight to San Diego by the third quarter.

"I knew I had to get back home and take care of it and get my mind-set on getting back or letting it go," Seau said. "And that's exactly what I did."

Letting it go was hardly a thought, as Seau was on a treadmill the next day, working to return for Season 18.

I don't know if any of us will truly be able to appreciate the difference of having a rotation in the middle will bring to later on in the season. Hopefully no IR injuries along the way to any of the ILB's. As well if any of the regular season games are blowouts (and I 'm sure there will be some), I hope to see Lua and Alexander get their fair share of reps during these games to build up confidence and experience.

He's a good player but off the field, he's not known to be that much of a "class act". He's had his share of incidents off the field and doesn't have the most stellar reputation around San Diego. That being said, I'm glad he's back.

You are correct...his reputation off the field in SoCal is not the greatest. Some has accused him of not being able to control his hands when females are around.

Junior if you read this please do not beat me up. I will give you the addresses of the three people who said they saw you in action. I think you are a great player.

he'll be entering the HOF (at least 5 years after he retires) as a charger/dolphin/pat

i really love how the NFL HOF inducts players under the crest of all teams played for

The Man wants a ring... just like Dillon did... and hopefully just like Moss and Stallworth do.
