Our very good depth on paper is not looking so great now. Does anyone have updates on Thomas / Brady / Mills?

I heard Heath Evans was lining up at TE... not exactly the ideal. I would rather see a OL practincing at TE, ala the great Tom Ashworth..

The good news is that Vrabel is healthy and could be the next Troy Brown (playing a lot of defense and offense). Maybe Vrabel could also be the emergency QB...

Vrabel as emergency QB, I'm down with that (if he can do it). But I do not want to see Vrabel catching passes that aren't for touchdowns.

....

Let's just be thankful none of them are "day to day" yet.

That is the finger of doom.

What is up with Garrett Mills? He can't seem to get on the field and has no definable position. I am getting very disappointed with him and wondering why he is even on the team.

Not sure about any of the 3..they DO need some TEs in camp..a bit surprised they did NOT pick up someone to add...BUT?? still could happen..my thinking is that Brady or Mills will be back soon. Having 2 TEs is mighty thin...Evans a TE as well?? Good only temporarily.

Evans working at TE is good for building his emergency resume. I forget which report I read it in, but OL have been taking TE reps...I think Oldenburg who started as a TE at Colorado State was the one mentioned.

Sadly for his career hopes, Jake Nordin was grabbed by the Redskins. I suspect Brady and Mills are both working on mild injuries and will be back soon. Mills was coming off rehab and may actually have been brought on too fast. I wasn't expecting Thomas to be back this early from his broken foot, September seemed more likely. On the bright side, Watson is sounding like he is starting to get it when blocking and learning from the old pro receivers how to shake and bake to get open when folks are concentrating on you. It's nice Rodney is stripping the ball and making him focus.
