I am looking to get one. I know they have only known about his number for what 2 days now?

They're already up on the Patriots website.

Ya I know...I checked the Proshop and other stores today...nothing...hopefully Monday they will get some or something.

I will wait until next year to get a Pats game jersey...I want one with the SB patch on the shoulder.

I wonder what number Meriweather has his eye on? It still shows as a blank shirt in the Pro shop. He's waiting for the poor bestard to be cut to claim it.

^^Hasn't he been sporting #38? He's not going to get his # that he had in college. Only placekickers can have numbers 1-19 with the only exception being WR's IF all the numbers 80-89 are taken.

He can choose any number between 20-49 that isn't already assigned. So lets look at the roster by each number 20-49.
20. Retired - Gino Cappelletti
21. Randall Gay
22. Asante Samuel
23. Wille Andrews
24. Mel Mitchell
25. Antrell Hawkins
26. Eugene Wilson
27. Ellis Hobbs
28. Tory James
29. Eddie Jackson
30. Chad Scott
31. Not Assigned
32. Rashad Baker
33. Kevin Faulk
34. Sammy Morris
35. Mike Richardson
36. James Sanders
37. Rodney
38. Brandon Meriweather (for now)
39. Laurence Maroney
40. Retired - Mike Haynes
41. Quadtrine Hill and Larry Anam
42. Quinton Smith and Gemara Williams
43. Not Assigned
44. Heath Evans
45. Garrett Mills
46. Corey Mays
47. Not Assigned
48. Kyle Bissinger
49. Oscar Lua

Sorry to hijack the thread, back to the Moss jersey discussion...

Eddie Jackson's #29 would be my wild guess.

Meriweather has changed his number to 31.

Here's a good trivia question:

Who wore #43 in camp last year, after switching from #35?

The preseason Patriots Legend Patrick Cobbs. :p
