Moss to Wear 81

Good news. I can imagine him with 6 though. Pointing to his chest after every TD catch. Oh well, rules are rules.

good stuff.

I like the idea of the pointing at the 6 after a touch down, but a WR wearing #6 is just to weird, IMO.

It's not weird. It's just not allowed by NFL rules.

(OK, it is weird.)

I looked to see if the pro shop had it listed yet and found this gem they are now selling.

Yeah, maybe thats why it seemed weird to me, because I haven't seen it before. I forgot that its not allowed.

Where's THEARCHIVES ? Is #81 tight? I can't remember.

id say its a tight #

I love the bits and pieces on all the personnel... with Geno having a down year in 05, and being injured so much, I totally did not remember he had played just about every game for three years (including 05). I had associated his "bad" year with his injured time, and in my mind sort of written him off and/or forgotten him. Well, especially with the situation we have now, it is good to have him back & healthy!

(Built in problem with linking to a Reises pieces column - sorry about the hijacked thread, all done now.)

ocho uno cant wait to see him and the rest tommorow

Yeah that's alright, I would rather have him switch with Watson and wear 84. But 81 works for me, it beats #6. As long as Moss stays healthy and scores Td's, that is all I care about.

Awesome. I can look for him tomorrow with ease now.

Maybe 6 would have been easier.

O well.

Yea, 81 isn't really a "thight" number, it's just "aight". I'd say 84, 82, 85, 83, 86, 88, and even 87 are all better numbers.

18 reversed i get.

But going back to the number 6 for a second it just came to me that he might have raised quite a few flags with that.

Taunting anyone? Pointing to his chest after every score? Seems like the switch came at a good time.

Yea, I know it's a reversal of his number in Oak, I just don't really think of it as a flashy number.

Nothing wrong with #81

For those of you who forgot, arguably the best TE in Patriots history wore #81 - Russ Francis
