I have owned dogs, and know the severity of the case, but sometimes you have to make light of the situation. I know it is tough, but sometimes you got to have some humor. Not all people like certain humor, some do. It is a case, where some people may like a song, but you don't. It is just a matter of what some people think about the song, like some people think of the humor.

Unfortunately the bottom line in here is if it is not about the Patriots you can make fun of anything that is negative and serious,killing dogs is obviously something to base a joke about in here

Anyways - these jokes are just plain sick. I'm sure no one will be laughing but I'll post them here anyway.

Boy has it been a hot summer. They call this the dog days of summer. Especially if you’re Michael Vick.

Atlanta Falcons Michael Vick has been indicted for his alleged involvement in a dog fighting ring. You know how he got caught? A pointer picked him out.

Did you hear his excuse? He said, "The b1tch set me up.”

In just a couple of weeks, the new movie “Underdog” comes out. It’s a dog with super powers that fights criminals. That’s gotta be Michael Vick’s worst nightmare.

People are mad about this Michael Vick thing. Today, Bob Barker called for Vick to be spayed and neutered.

Spacecrime, I happen to find this thread amusing. I also happen to own two dogs whom I consider family. Additionally, I like animals more than I like most humans. Just because someone jokes about a situation doesn't mean they don't understand and respect the gravity of it. That whole "you may be a dog owner, but..." thing reminds me of the boys in South Park arguing over who's the bigger lesbian.

Wait a minute....Are you even coming close to comparing a real true to life dog fighting and dog killing incidents to a stupid South Park animated show episode?

If some of these clowns on here making light of this were talking about Tom Brady killing animals it would be a different ballgame,they would be pissed at anyone making Brady jokes.

Either that or if *gasp* the Michael Vick situation actually becomes fodder for a joke on the Tonight Show or Letterman (and I'm SURE they'll stay away from such "sensitive" subject matter) we'll read of him and PatsfaninPA leading protests outside the studios.

Hmmm - you don't think the folks at SNL or Mad TV might be thinking of something on this subject do you? God I hope not - that would be SICK - and the backlash they'd endure would be the end of them!

Two thoughts:

1) Many people use humor to help them deal with really bad stuff, to process their feelings and to start to heal. So, don't be too hard on the poster.

2) However, feelings about Vick's despicable, described behavior are probably too raw now for humor to be accepted by many, so those who are inclined to use it should probably restrict its use to an audience they know well.
