i am thinking around 70 catches 900 yds and 7 td's...What do you guys think?

I think he could become Tom's new best friend, especialy around the end zone.I'll go with 70/900-1000yrds/10-12 td's. If there weren't so many other options I'd give him more td's

picture the offense in the red zone.

moss going to the right
troy up the middle with welker
faulk in the back field
and vrabel going left

it can't be defended

moss will rack up a solid number of td's while they make plays in the red zone

Um, I think I'd put the TE options well above the Vrabel threat... but that's just me

If Moss only gets 7 TDs with TB throwing, he'll probably want to retire.
Because Randy is a vertical threat as well as a red zone threat I can foresee
some multiple td games for him.
10 td's would be a more reasonable prediction for the TB to RM tandem.
Easily more.:rocker:

I see fewer catches but more TDs. Rec in the 60's, 11 TDs, 800-900 yards sounds about right.

Brady still owes Vrabel some "crack." Two TDs will do. :D

This is how NE's top receiver has faired each year under Belichick. No receiver has ever caught more than 7 TDs in season under Belichick.

Year Rec Yds TDs Player
2006 61 760 4 RC
2005 78 998 5 DB
2004 56 874 3 DG
2003 57 803 3 DB
2002 97 890 3 TB
2001 101 1199 5 TB
2000 83 944 4 TB

Average 76 924 4

My guess for Randy would be 65 receptions, 850 yards and 6 TDs.

Yeah but we never had anyone as talented as Moss.

ya i agree..Moss is the most talent the have had since hes been there. I really think Stallworth is going to benifit from having moss on the other side of him. Look for him to have a solid season too.

With Moss and Stallworth, I envision many more touchdowns from outside the red zone as they stretch the field......

i agree on that. I think brady will have alot more TD passes over 20 yds this season

hopefully. but he isn't the best deep passer. Of course, stallworth and moss will make him shine anyways.
Though, I kind of envision them getting strong enough leads where they run the ball and work on the clock a bit more than just trying to score all the time.

But whatever works.

More TDs, fewer receptions, higher YPC.

I'm thinking he's a preferred goal line option at 6'4" - 15+ TDs - with 50 catches, 17 YPC is my prediction.

The lack of receptions won't hurt him in free agency as most GMs are smart enough to recognize our system spreads the ball out so much - and indeed - Moss's presence is what allows that to happen - that he will still be much sought after.

Moss understands this as well which is why he won't grumble too much about it - knowing that if he plays a key role in winning a SB Ring he's more than made up for the lack of catches.

When Moss was in his prime I would agree with you. I've read articles by ex-Raider personnel that have said Moss is a shell of his old self. Is it sour grapes? Perhaps.

If it were Moss in his prime my numbers would be 90 rec, 1,200 yds and 14 TDs. Time will tell for me. I was high on Doug Gabriel last year and he let me down.

I'm thinking like 56-66 recepts for around 850-998yrds and something like 8-10 TD's

What else?

Stallworth just might have the most yards.

Welker will have the most receptions.

Moss will have the most TD's

Watson won't have as many recepts but a better YPC, and more TD's.

Brady will be in the 3,798yrds to 4,100yrds range and throw around 32 TD's.

I'm thinking NE will have about 5,800yrds - 5,998yrds of total offense (maybe more).

For Comparison if you take NE's avg yards per game from 2006 (335.6 per game) and spread that out over 16 games you get 5,369.6 yards of total offense for 2006. So, my predictions seem reasonable.

I'll withhold my judgement until I see a Qb better than Andrew Walter or Aaron Brooks throwing to him.

He's a 10/1000 guy this year. (TDs/Yards).
