Brady Surpassed Marino in 2003.

Good lord.

three more superbowls,
thrice the qb

Actually, Marino got there once and lost in 1985, so it's three to one, unless you mean three victories vs none...............

although that was an incredible year for marino

That it was, the Patriots stopped him and the Doofins into the ground the following year in the AFC Championship game and that was all she wrote for mr million dollar arm, .05 cent head..................

I love how I can stay out of a thread and yet it's all about me. HAHA! It's funny I have that great of an influence. It may be one of my friends for all I know, bu tI do know it's not me, so just know that.

As for all of you calling Brady better than Marino, I would agree that the 2 aren't even close. Comparing Brady to Marino is simply comical, it's a slap in the face to the greatest passer ever. Brady isn't even one of the top 10 passers and Marino is the best, Brady played for better teams, how does that make him better?

Please. Marino was never the greatest QB. That title belongs to Montana, or Elway, or Unitas, or someone else I can't think of right now. A couple more years of Brady being Brady and he's a serious contender, as well. Regardless, Brady's now a better QB than Marino was, and he's done it with far less whining.

As far as being the greatest passer, that used to be Marino's claim to fame. However, when all is said and done Manning will hold every passing record there is.

Marino is the guy who redefined the QB position after Johny Unitas. His release was lightning fast, he had a very strong arm, he was accurate, his footwork was amazing, he could avoid the rush, and he set records without a team In today's NFL, Brady is the most accurate Qb, and the best at reading coverages, but as far as proficiency at the position, and positinoal talent, I think Marino is far better.

"Passer" vs. "Quarterback"

Marino had several teams that were more talented than the '01 Pats. Brady took that team farther than they had a right to go; Marino never did. The difference? Pure will.

It's fun to watch a guy sling the rock around all day, but I prefer the guy who brings home the shiny stuff.

Hey, I'm not going to disagree with you there.

I don't think many people consider Marino the best of all time. I think that if you took a poll, you would get a heck of a lot more Elways or Montanas over Marino.
