I'm sure a number of people have heard of the schedule the Bills have next season. It's brutal.
Their first 8 games are against: Denver, Pittsburgh, New England, NY Jets, Dallas, Baltimore, NY Jets, and Cincinnati respectively.

Will our beloved Bills start the season 0-8?

Bills will go 2-6 in that stretch - finish at 5-11

Pitt and Dallas have coaching changes, Baltimore still looking for a QB.

Still, that's a tough schedule.

I would start getting ready for the draft, anyway. Your year is a year or two away.

Next to Denver, Buffalo has the best natural home field advantage in the NFL. We don't get to see it, because the Pats for whatever reason always annihilate the Bills up there. But some hot team will get snookered and broken in that *****-hole up there next season, you can count on it.

That is a pretty brutal opening half. Egads.

I think they will split with nyj giving them at least 1 win. Possible win over Dallas and/or Cinci. I see them winning no more than 3 games in that stretch.

Goddammit, it must suck having to play the Pats two times every year.

:rocker:

True, but I'd expect that to happen in the second half of the season, once the lake effect snow starts falling and the gale winds pick up. Denver is mile high year round, Buffalo is an ice palace only half the season.

I don't even mean the cold necessarily. The whole Buffalo atmosphere is unique and intimidating. The passion of the fans, the small town atmosphere, the field surface... It is like college football, and especially NFC teams seem totally unprepared for that environment. The homefield advantage is huge. Maybe the 31-0 whitewashing in 2003 vs. the Pats steeled Brady to the environment, and it became his personal cause every year to destroy Buffalo up there, which is why the Pats do so well.

I would think that NFC teams would be as used to that environment as AFC teams given the similar conditions of Lambeau.
