The Boston Globe reports Patriots CB Ellis Hobbs recently updated his journal on the NFL Players Association web site, noting that he's working out four times per week in preparation for training camp. He also made the point that the team's offseason program "was not a physical thing, it was more mental."

I am optimistic that he'll have a very good career with the Pats. I thought he did good in the playoffs and made some very nice plays against the Chargers. And he and Asante shut down the Colts recievers completely in the first half of the AFCCG.

The entire game, not just the first half. It was just that the Colts stopped fighting uphill and killed NE where they were weak.

I still say that gumbi block of the TD pass in the 2nd quarter of that Chargers game was one of (if not THE) prettiest defensed pass Ive ever seen.......but Im young so....

Ty Law did stuff like that on a weekly basis when he was here.

Yeah, and that from the "sorriest corner" in the league. :D

Yeah thats one of the plays I was referring too. Its true that the pass was underthrown but Hobbs is so small and thats what made it so impressive. :D

Hobbs was the #1 corner going into last year.

I agree with all you guys. Hobbs was great to watch in the playoffs and personally I like him more than Samuel. He also matured alot from a year ago, remember how he used to jump around after every play ? :D But anyways I have a feeling he is going to impress alot of people this upcoming season! :rocker:

And he was the best CB in the league and the best the Pats ever had.

I miss Ty...

* I was and still am a Ty Law fan. But Mike Haynes was a better player

Too bad both Haynes and the Sullivans effed-up their relationship; as usual, we - the customers - pay for the failure to communicate. And I don't feel that Haynes deserves to be in the NEP HOF; that should be a place for near-lifelong Patriots.

But Hobbs is so classless. Just like BB. Two of the most unclassy people in the NFL :D
