This is for anyone who has been in that stadium for food. On one of my Ram boards, they are talking about food at the ED, where the Rams play, and someone said they got the best barbequed ribs ever there and it is reasonably priced. How is the food in your stadium? How is it priced? What food do they have in there that you may not see in another stadium?

Huh? They don't tailgate at Rams games? I've never eaten inside an NFL stadium because I'm too full from beer and food eaten outside. OK, I may have had a pretzel to stop my stomach's beer heaves.

I'm saying if you arrive at the stadium a little later than normal, and you just miss all the tailgating food. I know it happens once in awhile. Then you have to eat inside.

Foxboro Stadium is a parking lot.

The most food I've had at Gillette Stadium is a steak and cheese at the Pats/Eagles preseason game in 2004.

I would have to say the food is stale by now if you are talking about Shaeffer Stadium - Now at Gillette I am not sure

They actually some pretty decent tailgating around the corner from the stadium in hotel parking lots. It's not as vast as in Foxboro or Philly but the people were well behaved and generous to a fault, giving food gratis to nearly anybody walking by. I took my youngest to a Rams-Chiefs game last November and it was weird going to a game indoors but the food was decent, reasonably priced and security was unbeleivably nice letting us go down to nearly field level to take photos....I was trying to imagine doing that in Philly......

I'd never heard Edward James arena called the ED before....sounds like a personal disorder. At least it's better than when Philly had the First Union Center. Try abbreviating that or calling it the FU center......

I usually before a game, McDonalds and the such do not do all that much for me, lines too long and prices to high to miss great football.

The food/concessions at Foxboro/Gillette Stadium are a joke. Ridiculously overpriced and generally poor quality.

However I do purchase the occasional beer, soda or hot chocolate. Maybe 1 per game. We sneak in our own peanuts and/or flask whenever possible. Bob Kraft does not let you bring in your own food or drink.

I would not waste your money buying "food" at the stadium. Go out to eat beforehand or after the game or obviously tailgate if possible.

That's pretty accurate, the food at Gillette sucks by and large. It seems some of the stadium food even has gotten worse. There's a fish-and-chips place I've gone to in the past, and the shrimp/fish portions went from sizeable when the stadium opened to rinky dink the last couple years. Prices for everything are nearly prohibitive. My first option is tailgating beforehand anyway.

Agreed. Food is awful and overpriced. The only good thing is a Sam Adams is about the same price as a Bud. The bad thing is they're like $7.

Seconded. though it should be noted that the selection of brews is a lot better than the average stadium, especially when considering New England-based microbrews.

Of course, a trip to the packy beforehand will save you several $$.

I'm not sure about the food, but don't expect security to be nice at Gillette. In my experience there, the security are d***heads and the fans are generally indifferent. Sorry homers, but you're better off watching the pats on the road, or on your couch.

Sam Adams and New England style Clam Chodah are pretty unique to Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, I would say.

If anyone has ever been in the Fidelity Clubhouses, you'll know that you get practically the same food for about twice the price. It's insane.

I once got to attend a game in a luxury box. The buffet was nothing special. Not bad, but nothing fancy. My avatar is me openning the fridge in the suite for a Sammy.

It's up to the suite-holder as to whats served or available to drink. My company can have hamburgs, hot dogs & cold cuts one week, w/ beer & wine, (with something like a $5k min charge!), then go full bore the next week, with filets' lobster, top shlf booze, etc. Lord knows how much that goes for.

That said, all the food (except for Micky D's), all the food is prepared in the guts of the stadium then transported up to the appropriate spot. Not conducive to fine cuisine.

My unscientific observation of the food lines before and at halftime of the game is that by far and away the most popular (by length of line) is for the fried dough cart. Never buy anything for myself except beer .
