Now I know Bulger had an awesome year last year for the Rams and yes,Maybe even as good a season as Brady with same TDs but less picks and more pass yardage of over 4,200 yards but does he deserve 10 Million or more a year or a similar contract like Brady?

The answer is emphatically NO

If there is any QB in the league worth those $$$ its Manning and Brady - thats it - Theres no one close to these 2 guys

Since Warner left at QB,St. Louis has been competitive and has had a very good productive offense but have gone nowhere and you have to give some of that credit of Bulgers production to Steven Jackson who has made most defenses back off of pressure and less Blitzes to avoid Steven getting the ball with room to run and if he does, hes usually going to the house,so some credit of Marc's success has to be has an awesome RB behind him which has given Marc more time in the pocket to make plays in the passing game.

Is Marc overrated? - The team needs to do something special this year if he expects Brady money IMO.

He deserves it. There are only 10 people on Planet Earth who can play quarterback well and Bulger is one of them.

I agree..however, if Bulger deserves Brady money - how much money does Brady deserve??

I actually think he is underrated. I agree with Pony, there isn't many good QBs in the NFL. He's one.

Having Jackson helps but I wouldn't have considered him an elite RB before last season. Bulger has played well consistently over years.

Contracts are getting larger very rapidly. When Woody left for the Lions, he became the richest interior lineman in NFL history. Now the 4th or 5th best guards on the free agent market are getting $15-20 million more. It won't be long before $10 million a year for a QB isn't just for the ultra elite. Bulger is one of the few I feel deserves to be the first into that new market.

The Rams have fundamentally changed since their "Greatest Fraud on Turf" days, and Bulger came in and started in his 2nd year (Making Warner expendable) and has done nothing but improve. He's a top 5 QB in this league and deserves to be paid like one. It's really not his fault he's had no defense since they blew that team up.

In todays market Brady deserves to be paid more. What was he like the 47th highest paid proffesional. There are players out there that haven't won jack....that make more. But thats one of the things that make him special. He understands unlike some,( aaah other players that have been here) he can feed his family on what he's makeing ,it's not a respect thing with him,and hopefully won't ever be.

True, but that matters more to some players than others.
For Example, is ***ante Samuel woth $10mm a year?
Hell no. But that's what he thinks he's worth.

By "Brady Money" I take that to mean Bulger feels he deserves to be paid in the Top 5 of QB $. The numbers are there. I think he deserves it. I have no problem with players who perform trying to make as much as they can in a short amount of time. I do have a problem with players who don't perform (*coughWarrenSappcoughcough*) killing their team's cap, and watching them suck year after year.

Sure why not...virtually every single professional athlete in all 4 major sports are over paid. There is no correlation to their pays and reality.

Marc's career stats are on par with Tom's and if Marc were on the Pat's with Kraft and Belichick we still would have won a couple of Superbowls. I actually like Marc.

Put Tom on the Rams for the last 4 years and even Tom could not lead them to a Superbowl ring.

I never get into money, but i would say that's basically a true statement. If he is one, you got to pay him.

If they sign him to a contract similar to Tom's, Bulger will be paid 10% of his team's cap.

Worth it.

If you look at how so many teams spend the majority of each off-season scrambling around trying to find the right QB for their team - and largely failing - it should be a sobering reminder to those lucky few with established decent QBs that they need to keep their guy happy and on board. The lucky few include the Rams and they should pay their guy.

Pay him as you would one of the top five QB's signing a contract in a three year period. He is well worth it. If Brady were on the free agent market, he would get more. How is that an issue?

Bulger should not be looking at Tom Brady money, after all......

Tom Brady
Seasons Starting: 6
Qualified for Playoffs:5
Super Bowl titles: 3
Seasons with 16 starts in regular season: 5

Marc Bulger
Seasons Starting: 4.5
Qualified for Playoffs: 2
Super Bowl titles: 0
Seasons with 16 starts in regular season: 1

They benched a two time NFL MVP (and a Super Bowl MVP) for him and he proved he was worth it, he should be paid as such, it's just what the market dictates.

After reading some of the agents' quotes, I think that we as fans are going to be surprised at how much NFL players will getting paid.

If Adalius Thomas who plays a less important position and is only 4 months younger than Bulger is worth 7 million a year, what is Bulger worth???

Please note that in most negotiations what a player gets is typically less than what he originally asks for. So by asking for Brady money, Bulger is indicating to me that he is willing to settle for less than that to do the deal.

* Then maybe Marc should have asked for Alex Rodriquez money -:)
