My wife is from China and the appetite for "all things Western" in China is astronomical considering the sheer numbers.

They ask me to bring NIKE products when I visit. It is a status symbol over there. Some people sew fake NIKE swooshes on things.

Okay, so those Chinese have some funny names for people... for instance, Hu is the president of China... Hu? That's right. That's what I'm asking you. That's what I'm telling you, Hu is the president of China...

I think Chrysler should open a plant there. Not for any economic reason mind you, just to see what happens when people in China try to brag about their new Chrysler. God, I would love to see Chrysler become a status brand there.

Just where do you think Nikes are manufactured??

In all seriousness, a solid NFL showing in china would be a good first step toward recouping our balance of trade... of course, it's only a matter of time before ol' Flying Elvis shows up with five stars in his hat, and the word "Parrots" underneath it, in that familiar flowing script. "See? Not a copyright violation!"

This whole business of the NFL and China concerns me. I work in the Manufacturing sector of our economy and China's Manufacturing has decimated us with below cost prices.

What if Bob Kraft out sources the players jobs to cheaper Chinese labor. Instead of paying Tom Brady $10,000,000 per year pay some guy named Cho Cho Jo Jo $0.99 per year.

Don't you guys have any concerns for our over paid NFL players and their financial futures? This Patriots business with China is a Trojan Horse waiting to pounce on our unsuspecting players. What next fried monkey brains at the concession stand?

Peace Out!!!!!!!!!

Really? They make Nike stuff in China, right? Why not rob one of the factories!:singing:

The Chinese have a saying...one hour after watching an NFL game, you're hungry for more

I'd be in favor of it... because at least they wouldn't be complaining about feeding their families on a 6M per year offer!! :singing:

That's right! I am going to suggest to Krafty that he send the girls to China via Hong Kong.

Actually, they already have one in Beijing. They make the 300C there.

Serves me right, felt bad on liberal moral grounds even making that joke... but you gotta tell me... does that brand cause communications difficulties in the Middle Kingdom?

Of course not. My Chinese overlords speak perfectly.
