agreed. NOPE

he gets a chance to play for a great team and organization and gets arrested again.

I second that.

He was an underachiever even aside from his off the field issues.

Good for them. It seems that teams are shaping up when it comes to arrests from players no matter what the talent level is. Now Tank will clear through waivers, and say what you want about his off field issues but on the field he is a beast. I absolutely do not want him on the Patriots howeve rI am curious to see if anyone takes a chance on him...Cinci I am looking in your direction.

Wow A team did the right thing I'm shocked and relieved all at the same time maybe this will send a message to these guys.
So who scoops up the turd shines and dust's him off to play?
I'll say a few teams
1. Tampa Bay - Does anybody else get the feeling Gruden is desperate for a winning season and would damn near sell his soul to get it?
2.NY jets- Mangini is stacking up that D line basically throwing **** against a wall and see if it sticks. Plus he wants to emulate Bellichick he'll see if he can not use his so called genius to turn tank around.
3. Denver Broncos- Who loves failed underachieving over paid D lineman more than shanny? I don't know either.
4.Miami Dolphins- How funny this would be we don't condone him driving under the influence and holding guns but he didn't bite anybody and that's always a good thing.
5.Washington Redskins- Daniel Snyder is juicing up the plane as we type to fly him in and has all the liquor ready.

Teams are going to be very reluctant to sign him because he still has to serve that eight game suspension which may be more after his most recent arrest.

Bears did the right thing, they supported him for the first two(?) transgressions, but when he keeps doing the same type of thing, they cut him loose.Nuff' said.

to me, the most important thing is - was he impaired?

And I would like to know more about the night club shooting.

The other stuff (from what i understand) was not really a big deal.
1. He had a gun at a nightclub
2. He had guns at his house (violating probation)

Those two things are stupid yes, but no where near as bad as doing drugs or that other stuff.

This does not mean I want him on the Pats. I really don't know much about him other than what was on the ESPN article you all linked to.

Of course, the Chicago police are probably just profiling him

Fine I'll make the obligatory joke:

I heard Cincinnati already signed him, saying that he would "fit right in" in their clubhouse.

My vote is an unequivical no.. no way in hell do we want this guy on our team.

There's not a chance in hell he comes here.

But it wouldn't surprise me if the Broncos took a look at him.

The guns at the house were in plain sight ( not locked up) and there were young children in the house at the time. Would you care to rethink the 'no big deal part'? That (keeping the guns unlocked) to me is the height of stupidity and irresponsiblity and a recipe for disaster.

He has a great first name which matches his pro football career now - 'In the Tank'

Do I want TJ on our team?

NO 'TANK YOU!

Re: Tank Johnson has been Released

Look for the Broncos to pick him up. They are reloading as well for another stretch of SB runs. He would go along way to solidify the one weakness on that defense.

Too bad the Bengals don't act this firmly with their players.

On the other hand if they did there would only be 37 players on their roster.

In My opinion, I would be fine if he never played in the league again. He wasted a lot of talent, same with pacman. These players are professionals, and should act like it. They are paid millions of dollars, and they can't stay out of trouble? I mean it can't be that hard to not have guns at your house.
