Which NFL team has lost the most in terms of a specific player for their team via FA or a trade and who was the player they lost?

I don't think its Baltimore with Adalius because the Ravens still have a very solid defensive front and won't likely miss Thomas much at LB.

I don't think its Moss because he never did anything for the Raiders anyway.

I think of you look deep at every team I think its Nate Clements leaving Buffalo to go to SF - I think Buffalo was the team to lose the best player they had.

Runner Up is Matt Schaub of Atlanta but they did not know Vick was letting dogs kill each other in his home up north, otherwise Matt would still be with the Falcons for insurance - Vick will not be the starter on opening day unless a miracle happens in favor of Vick, too much evidence and witnesses points to doom for him.

Well, I don't think one can say Buffalo with Clements because they have also traded/let go Takeo Spikes and London Fletcher-Baker because its going to be hard to gauge the Cb position individually since the LB presence will be so drastically different.

I think that you are down-playing the loss of Thomas to the Ravens, honestly. Yes, their defense is still good, but Thomas was a major pass rush threat for them and they don't have anyone in the LB corps who could cover the way Thomas could. That will force them to use their Nickel package more than they have in the past. And, while their top 2 CBs are solid,

I'd agree with this wholeheartedly, considering Buffalo's current depth chart at CB.

One starter is Terrence McGee, who showed promise early in his career but who got abused regularly last year.

The other starter is Jason Webster, who they picked up off the street for the minimum a short time ago after he was released by Atlanta.

The nickel back is Kiwaukee Thomas, who they picked up off the street last year after being a sucky backup for Jacksonville and Miami. Another player they are paying the minimum for.

4th the depth chart is Ashton Youboty, an athletic 3rd round pick last year who was unable to get on the field as a rookie and who is now getting beat out by the other crap they have on their roster.

Finally, there is Jabari Greer, who they have had for the last 3 years and has been unable to make any impact at all.

That is one of the ugliest depth charts at any position on any team in the league.

four players come to mind none of them are huge names, but I think their former teams will feel the impact of them leaving.

Thomas Jones: I know they have Benson but he hasn't been consistent.

Dominic Rhodes: They didn't sign a RB and they didn't draft one, so they have Addai and ?? DeDe Dorsey???

Drew Bennett a solid vet - Givens doesn't appear to be healthy and their other #2 only had 27 receptions last year. Not a good situation for a young QB.

Travis Henry is another (I know two from the same team) but they messed up by relying on Lendale White to take over the reigns. They end up resigning Brown but they should have kept Henry, IMO. All Brown needs to do to ensure that he keeps the starting job, is to have a never ending supply of Twinkies in his locker and make sure Lendale knows he is welcome to them at anytime.

Travis Henry is the biggest. Look who they have at RB

1. Fat White
2. Fragile Brown
3. Reach Henry(2nd rounder off workouts..and hes dissapointing at camp)

I agree but I also think it is hard to point to one loss for the Titans after the offseason they have had. I am also partial to Bennett, I always thought he was very underrated player.

If Brown could ever stay healthy, he would be a very productive back.

i always thought Bennett was overrated. Dropped balls..not tough at times for a guy his size. He plays like hes small..sissy

Ah, I will go with the players the Colts lost on Defense... I think that's going to really hurt them...

I guess we differ on this one. But that is the thought I came away with about Larry Johnson after the Playoff game against the Colts. And some folks disagreed with that as well.

Every receiver from Tony Simmons to Jerry Rice (worst to best) drops passes.

That being said, Drew Bennett has had the following:
2003: 2 drops on 54 targets and 32 receptions
2004: 7 drops on 144 targets and 80 receptions
2005: 7 drops on 109 targets and 58 receptions
2006: 5 drops on 98 targerts and 46 receptions.

Is it horrendous? Nope. But its not exactly great either.
