PFT is reporting that Pacman may be in some trouble and I am shocked I thought this kid had straightened up...Just Wondering does anyone know if he gets his nickname because of his humongous Bondsian head?

Who was it who said " only bad things happen after midnight"? I'll bet that if you check when most of the players getting arrested were nabbed, it was in the early morning hours..........

But you would think at a strip club late night you wouldnt have such a bad element around.

It wouldn't surprise me if Pacman had nothing to do with this, his name being thrown out there for obvious reasons. This is a rumor and therefore has no credibility.

At the same time it wouldn't surprise me for him to be involved in another strip club shooting.

I'll wait for a real report before even trying to guess which it is.

It is a real report they link to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Not so fearless prediction - Pacman will never play football again. The guy hasn't learned from his year long suspension (and yes, it is a year long suspension after this weekend). He is still hanging around with the wrong element and at the wrong places. I guarantee you he will be in even more incidents before his suspension is over which will prompt Goodall to increase the suspension to be indefinite.

Nevermind me, I must be tired and incapable of recognizing obvious red links.

I did actually read the PFW bit, seriously.

Say this, though, if he IS involved, it wouldn't shock me if Goodell suspended him for TWO years or even banned him.

I doubt the police would be commenting that they are looking to talk to him unless they had established he was at least actually at the club with an entourage. Just the fact that the police are looking to question him about something that may have happened following a night out at a strip club is likely more than Goodell can tolerate. There were rumors he might shorten the suspension BECAUSE the player dropped the appeal IF he in fact showed he was committed to avoiding even the appearance of impropriety going forward for the next couple of months.

You cannot keep making the wrong crowd excuse if you just keep hangin' with 'em. He's not suspended for any conviction, in his case it's cumulative involvement to the extent he's even questioned let alone arrested or convicted that the league has chosen to view as detrimental to the NFL brand.

The police want him for questioning. This is far more than a rumor. He might not have been involved, but from the report from the AJC it is more likely he was involved.

Of course, this begs the question . . . WTF is he thinking?

Honestly, at the rate things are going, the ONLY chance Pacman has of making it back to the league is for him to spend the next two years in a monastery or something. Or maybe opening a shelter for dogs--er, cats might be a better idea at this point.

[BTW--when "the Ghost gobbled up Pacman" late last season, I didn't think it'd be "Game Over". . . .]

Newton's forgotten law:

"A dirt ball in motion....will remain in motion!"

Ha!

DISPATCH OFFICER:
Chief, there was just a shooting incident over at Crazy Girls!

CHIEF:
Dispatch a couple patrol cars immediately. And round up the usual suspects.

OFFICER:
Yes, sir! We'll bring in Pac Man Jones right away!

LOL...too bad the Sapranos got cancelled. They could have used Pacman as a writer for some episodes.

Espn reports that he was not there at the time. Good news for him.

"Toledo said Jones was not present when the shots were fired."

Well it beats pulling the trigger or being in the car from which shots were fired. But the fact remains, he's running with an entourage that packs and fights and frequents strip clubs til 4AM. That appears to be the root of his troubles. He really needs to distance himself from his roots, unfortunately, if he wants to remain in the NFL. And though he says he knows that, he just goes back to the same situations over and over again.

I thought Pacman died. He donated his body to science.
