Lol I heard about this on the radio, this is kinda funny. Can't wait to make fun of my redskins' fan friends.

That has to sting even more than a soccer ball to the groin! Sounds like the ice bath for you LaRon.

Haha, thats funny. I know this kid in my neighborhood who doesnt get hurt or feel pain. He was pissin his step dad off while playing paintball and his step dad shot him in the nuts and he cried, so safe to say.

Gotta wonder if the paint ball was blue???

Heh, heh, blue balls gave him blue balls. Heh, heh.

During the incident, Landry was quoted as saying, "DUDE! TIME OUT! TIME THE F*&K OUT!"

My son plays pant ball and comes back with large nasty welts. If Landry got shot in the GROIN he probley has nuts the size of grapfruits. And is walking around with them in in a sling.

ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm huh?

He was in a paintball fight and got hit in his groin. I'm not into paintball, but I'd imagine that warrants a timeout.

Spiking a football into that area is just as bad. I was an impressionable teenager watching the NFL for the first time and spiking seemed like fun.

Poor LaRon. You can just imagine the guys rolling around the locker room, holding their bits, when he next goes to work. :D

We use "simmunition" rounds in our training. Now those are soap with plastic around it using a 9mm round (soap replaces the bullet obviously). If you get hit with these in an area that isn't protected with padding they will draw blood. (they go about 450 ft/sec) When we first started using them intitially we only used our vests, neck and eye protection....then one of our Sgt's got hit with one in the nads and no lie it blew up the size of a grapefruit. Needless to say we always use groin protection now.

Take one of these in the junk no thank I would rather take more Taser hits...
(not sure if a paintball would be as bad as I never have been hit with a paintball)

Does any one know where Logan Mankins was when this happened?

No if he gets shot, and the ball breaks, he is eliminated. Im pretty sure he was in too much pain to "whipe".

Your sergeant's misfortune reminds me of the cause and effect relationship the real world frequently has on decision makers. Years back when I was a volunteer fire fighter, we had several go-rounds with an older member of the department who didn't want the EMTs to have an "ambu" bag for resuscitation, an unnecessary expense as he saw it. That changed one tragic day when he got to do mouth-to-mouth on a heart attack victim and came to know the contents of her stomach intimately. As for taking a soap round to the groin, I'll take another dose or twelve of mace thank you.

Ironic to hear about a defensive player to get sacked. :bricks:

Paintball courses typically set a limit of 300 ft./s., so a paintball probably does not hurt as much, but can still leave a mark for a couple of days.

Read last year, and never realized (never really thought about it truthfully, until Mankins made his reach and grab), but - most players in the NLF do NOT wear cups while playing!!

Ouch......
