I heard the same thing from Tom Casale but he said its probably cause Moss makes everything look so effortlessly, but take is as you want...
Started to read the first page, than thought why am I reading this? I know the outcome.Felger will trash Moss, (only acsentuate the negative) and I'll think that's Moss being Moss in training camp,And Felgess BEING Felgess, his typical self.Never heard or saw a negative thing about the Pats he didn't like.

I saw on Sports Tonight that they were making fun of Felger for saying this stuff.

If Felger didn't have something negative to say his head would cave in. He was just about the only reporter who put a negative spin on Flutie's drop kick.

I guess I would feel differently is Moss was getting this review across the board but most that has been written about him has been pretty positive. So I just sort of shrug and say it's Felher being Felger.

I dont care what he says im honestly not worried bout Moss, I just cant wait till Moss puts felgers words back in his mouth!

This was predictable.

Felger is just setting himself up so he can break out "I told you so" if Moss doesn't work out. I doesn't matter what Moss looks like, Felger wants to be contrarian so he can be smug if Moss doesn't work out.

Later on, if Moss tanks, he'll break out the "See, I told you but you didn't want to listen". If Moss plays well, he'll say, "He looks good and he has shut me up, but I'm not sold yet. Just wait.".

Typical Felger. He isn't concerned with anything but playing up the drama and making himself the story.

He really does not matter...VERY irrelevent..u are right..it IS always about HIM...and he is nothing...

Felger writes to feed his talk show and talks to feed his columns, if you know this it all becomes somewhat easier... after all it is about the ratings and himself!!!!

I wonder if this isn't a computer-generated story? That Felger simply feeds in everything he's read and heard about Moss in recent days and asks the computer to churn out something contrary?

It's absolutely full of cliche, lazy reporting and supposition, and it looks as if he's simply cut the cloth to fit whatever theory he had in mind when he started out.

I have no problem with people questioning Randy Moss's motivation or work ethic or whatever else, heaven knows he has a sufficiently chequered track record to earn a little scepticism at the very least.

But do it properly, and do it in a balanced way - as Breer did with his piece in the Boston Sports magazine.

But Felger's something else, he really is. He has all Borges' desire to be a part of the story but none of Borges' genuine reporting and writing talent.

And ALL of Borges's negativity....

Geez. A guy write some pretty objective descriptive stuff, says he is not sure what it means, and you homers jump all over him. Chill dudes. If Moss was last in the sprints he was last in the sprints. The fact is Moss did not show great skills, did not gain early separation and did not give maximum effort. The best Oakland could get is a 4th rounder. THese are facts. None of us knows what to expect when Sept rolls around.

its mini camp, would it de good for him to go full tilt and ripp his hamstring or groin, these camps are mostly teaching and installing the system and schemes, you and felger need tp chill its june

Felger had two articles pre-written:

One, Moss dogged it in camp by not going all out all the time.

Two, Moss tweaks hammy by going all out too soon (In mini-camp, fer cryin' out loud!). First Chad Jackson and now Randy Moss, what's is BB doing wrong making WRs run too hard in mini-camp.

Either way, he had something to complain about.

What does Felger or any of us, for that matter, know what it's like to be one of the more gifted athletes among the 5 billion bipeds that walk the face of the earth. WTF does Felger know about preparing for an upcoming NFL season as a player. Randy does what Randy has to do, very similar with the way Manny Ramirez does it. As long as he replicates what he did in Oakland, or even near it, this guy can prepare whatever way he wants. If he puts up a dart board next to Tom Brady's locker and shoots darts while everyone else is in the weight room and #12 doesn't mind, then that's OK with me! Felger isn't even a homer. He's from Milwaukee, and there's obviously nothing to write about there, so he comes to the best sports city in the country(IMO) to sell newspapers and make a name for himself so he can get picked up by a national media outlet!

It's irrelevant to me. How did Seymour look ? Oh that's right he wasn't there. Moss is a 10 (or so) year veteran. Unlike some of our older LB, his game is largely speed. All that matters now is that he knows the offense heading into camp and gets in tune with Brady. I guess he could bust his ass to impress Felger but Moss is no spring chicken anymore, he has bigger things to save his legs for than this minicamp. Pacing is fine with me, we want him frest from September to early February.

Listening to Felger will make you "dumber".

Randy does what Randy has to do, very similar with the way Manny Ramirez does it.

I sure as hell hope not! If Moss decides to set his own agenda and perform only when he wants like that cretin Ramirez, I hope BB bounces him.

On one hand, nothing he said in his report was untrue. On the other hand, I find it very interesting that at the top of the column they give Felger the appellation, Columnist/Patriot Insider. I find that kind of laughable since Felger is the beat writer who has the LEAST amount of contacts within the Pats organization. Felger has no more idea of what goes on the "inside" of the Pats organization than you or I. Any comments he makes are either eyeballed or told to him by another reporter, or like us, what he reads on the internet.

Felger is very ambitious and smart. He knows the most important thing in the media is to be mentioned. It doesn't matter whether its good or bad. Getting your name out there is paramount....and he's good at it.

BOTTOM LINE: I wouldn't get too upset about this. Its just Felger being Felger. Being the contrarian is what he's best at.

This whole article was just someone trying to be the first to report negativity on Moss and stir something up out of nothing. They should leave Moss alone and let him practice.

Randy will be phenomenal, again. Let game 1 determine if he lost his legs or not, then game 2. If he really can't run I guess we'll just have to use him as a 6'4 receiver with a good vertical leap and hall of fame hands and use Donte Stallworth for his downfield abilities.

I don't get what people don't understand, the Patriots are in a no lose situation. No 4th round draft pick would have even made the team. A one year 3 million deal is 0 risk. Its not a 6 year 50 million dollar deal. Its chump change... and its ONE year! Are people afraid that we will be kept from a monster trade and not be able to afford a player? I don't get why the media is harping on this so much, taking advantage of the ignorance of people who think its a big deal. Everyone should be worried about how Wes Welker's doing, he's the one who got a big contract...and yes I think Wes Welker is going to be phenomenal as well.

Bunch of nonsense.

Farrah Fawcett Felger writes about Football? I thought he'd been fired. I read Tomase and Breer. They're real journalists. FFF is a creative writer with a byline.

I only use the reference to Martinez as a point of emphasis. There is no comparison of football to baseball. My point being in production. If Moss just practices for the sake of practicing, but puts up the #'s he had in Minnesota, then so be it. If Brady and BB are OK with how Moss prepares, then that's fine, but I'm sure you're right. BB will not stand, for one minute, a player that brings a negative or half-ass attitude to the locker room. I'm counting on it, so basically everything Felger writes is nothing, but that, nothing!
