Worst Ever Sports Signings????

I'd think that Darko Milicheck (sp?) and Jose Theodore would be up there.

Milicic was drafted by the Pistons and then traded to the Magic. He's actually been pretty good with the Magic. The problem was he was stuck on the best or second best team in the league with Detroit and rarely got playing time, and was all of 20 when he was traded.

The Pistons drafting him over, say, Dwyane Wade or Carmelo Anthony was the mistake, but he's turning into a pretty good player in Orlando.

Theodore was bad, but there were many others after the salary cap came in place (and many before). Brian Leetch for $4M for the Bruins? Alexei Zhamnov? The Bruins made some bad moves.

Martin LaPointe for $5 mill a year prior to the strike had to have been worse. The Bruins couldn't have known that Zhamnov wouldn't recover from his injuries.

I'm a football fan. I tend to ignore other sports. However, Minny gave up their franchise for Herschell Walker. They gave up two entire drafts plus whatever they paid Walker. Dallas went to two Super Bowls because of those drafts. Minny was destroyed.

I think that, from a football perspective, that might sadly be true. However, I think that looking at the Falcons as an entire organization Vick has been a huge boost. They will probably never win with Vick at the helm, but at least people are paying attention to them.
