I'll start it off with:
"Our players are hungry this year."

My favorite is the cyberfan that all-caps the names of his favorite players in lieu of weighing in with any content. The really intelligent version of this fan completes the thought with "2 MANY WEPONS!"

i.e.
MANNING
HARISON
WANE
ADDEYE
2 MANY WEPONS

How about (just saying a team but any team name will do)
"Well, the Broncos might have something to say about that." or
"The Chiefs are capable of putting a lot of points on the board"

ADDEYE!! LOL!!! OOPS....
LAUGHING FART:eek:

How about:
"We'll make the playoffs if everybody stays healthy."

We do what we do nobody can beat us

"They just keep finding ways to win" or "they just know how to get it done" - really means "I think this team sucks but they won anyway"

"They want it bad" - all teams want it bad

"That lineman is a road grader" - a phrase for people who don't understand what makes offensive lineman good

"He has deceptive speed" - stupid phrase. You're either fast or you're not.

Any term using "pure" - as in pure speed, pure strength. Pure doesn't mean anything in conjunction to those words. Stop doing it.

"We have to play 60 minutes of football"

"The team that scores more points generally will win the football game"

"Gotta do more with the ball when we have it"

"Games aren't won in June"

"They are a strong team on paper"

One that always gets me is " They played better then their record indicates".

Yes!...which also leads to a side bar of:

When they say:
"This will be his breakout year."

They really mean:
"He was supposed to breakout last year."

Nicely said.

This is going to be one of those games when whoever scores the most points wins

"They/We came to win"
"It's really sad one of those two teams had to lose."

I absolutely HATE it when they use other sports terms in football:

"Brady can throw the homerun ball."

"That play was a slam-dunk."

Yankees suck.

"Our guys have got to play four quarters of football."

"They wanted it more than we did."

"They gave 110 percent." :bricks:

Any given Sunday.

Bugs the hell out of me.

whatever the Oakland Raiders were thinking was so great about Russel. People that think all a QB need is a big arm.
