I know players are disqualified from the pUP list as soon as they practice.

Q1) Does mini-camp count or only Traning Camp?
Q2) What constitutes practicing? Showing up? Not wearing a red shirt?
Q3) Who did not practice at all in minicamp? Eddie Jackson? Mitchell?

1. Training Camp is when PUP list starts
2. Practicing..players still show up for treatment and to watch sometimes..red jerseys are common
3. Eddie Jackson, Mel Mitchell, Seymour, Chad Jackson, Brandon Meriweather, Eric Alexander, Samuel, Spann and Dave Thomas didnt practice at all at minicamp

This is a good list to watch. Any of these could easily end up on IR or PUP (except for Seymour and Samuel).

na Meriweather wont..it was precautionary reasons to keep him out..Thomas should be fine to TC and Alexander-Spann no idea about their injuries.

Mitchell was on IR last year..should be back soon if he wants to have any shot of sticking

In training camp...it basically means taking part in ALL of the team activities...usually the stretching and that part, all participate in and then those that are PUP would go to the inside dome and stay while the drills took place..and then return for the last segment. red shirted non-contact players would be considered practicing. I think those for PUP could be players like Thomas, the Jacksons Chad and Eddie...Do not know the injuries to Spann and Alexander..I would hope Seymour and Meriweather would be OK..but they could start out a bit later in camp. And I agree Mitchell needs to be ready to go if he wishes to be here.

I recall reading how some of the PUP players would show up and participate in walk-throughs, but never in drills or scrimmage.

Alexander was reported to have had surgery on a shoulder, hopefully he got it right after the season and is on a similar timeline to Maroney. Spann injured a shoulder in NFLE last year, rested it a bit then came to Training Camp, I wouldn't be surprised if he had his shoulder worked on too.

the last few years the team has started 18, 14, 6 and 14 players not practicing...so it's not unusual to have a group not participating fully. They would be present at the start, limbering up as best they could...sometimes modified in their stretching and such, but when drills and scrimmages, the REAL practice started, they would en masse walk down the short path to the indoor facility for their rehab. And as the practice was winding down, these same "walking wounded" would return for the last segment..the positional meetings...NOT drills. It pretty much happens every year..so this year won't be different..One year there were 4 on the active PUP at the start of the season and another added via the NFRI list. If a few months may help rehab, not a BAD idea to have fresh reinforcements coming in down the road.
