OT: Culpepper escorted from Fins Practice

What an embarrassing franchise.

Does this mean they don't want him anymore?

This franchise is an absolute Godsend. They could not be more of a joke if they actually tried to be. Its as pathetic as it is contemptable.
The Vets on the team must be wondering what the he$$ is going on with the franchise. It pleases me greatly.
Very nice guys. Please keep this up for another 10 years.

Could it be because he has been traded or released and is no longer a member of the Fins org.. I dunno, why they would risk such negative publicity for much of anything else.

If he pulls a hammy, wrecks his knee, they are responsible for his 5.5M dollar contract.

I would have thought so too, but the organization is allowing Culpepper to workout at the team facilities and participate in individual on-field drills. It was during the team portion of the practice that they humiliated him. In the McNair situation, the Titans forbade McNair from even showing up at their facility in order to protect themselves. This Culpepper situation is cruel and unusual.

Pep got pissed he was being treated like the 5th stringer so HE decided to leave practice. The locker rooms are locked so he had to get the team security director to open the locker room for him...and that's about it.

As for everything else. Pep is blocking any trade the fins try by refusing to re-do his contract. He won't be with the team much longer...

Ah, OK. They're not releasing him because they're still holding out hope for trade compensation, but they're not letting him practice as part of the team because, realistically, he's not. And he's refusing to renegotiate to facilitate a trade because he wants to pick his own landing spot...and because why the heck should he do the phins any phavors at this point? All perfectly logical, in a dysfunctional sort of way.

Man, the Phins are a sorry, sorry franchise.
The last time they won a championship, the vast majority of fans were not on the planet. I thought nothing could top the Wanny era. I was wrong. Saban wreaked havoc and won fewer games. Now this new administration is a complete joke. Gotta luv it!

Because they paid him 7 million dollars last year for 4 games...i would think he might owe them something....

and prior to 2000 there wasn't a single patriot fan in the entire world who had witnessed a championship despite the factthey were in the league for over 40 years... so whats your point?

Dolphin appointed doctors examined Culpepper prior to the trade. They were aware of the severity of his injury, and the normal extended recovery time. Many observers were shocked when he was forced onto the field on a peg-leg. I give him credit for great courage under those circumstances. He risked his body for his teammates, because he wanted to meet the organization's expectations. Sadly, his frailty prevented him from realizing his dreams. The Dolphins are culpable once for a stupid trade, twice for pushing him on the field too soon, thrice for dumping him like a bag of garbage. If I were a Phin fan, I would be very concerned about the message this sends to the veteran players, seeing Culpepper taken away like a horse to the glue factory.

Saban is responsible for the trade
Saban was the one who pressured to put him on the field (most likely because he knew he was going to leave after the season)
Cameron is dumping him like he would any other Vet that does not fit his system(Mcmichael, Mare, Jeno James, Joey Harrington,Wes Welker)

There is a reason why certain QB';s cannot translate their success to a new destination. Simply they are not fit to run the current system in place. Before saban left Pep was in a system that suited him, that is no longer the case.

You do realize that the finz are working on 40 years themselves right? 72 was a long time ago. I'm not sure many dolphins fans alive that might have actually watched that game either. lol

So I guess you are no longer saying that Culpepper is a better QB than Brady, huh?

Funny what a year of reality does to you.

My point is that we have had multiple years of championships in our lifetimes while the sorry Phins have not done squat in most folks' living memory.
Better yet, presently the Patriots continue to contend at the elite level while the Phins get worse and worse, coach after coach.
Hope this helps your meager understanding.

Now we have three in our lifetimes...

Good enough point?

Or maybe that reason is Randy Moss......you know, that new WR for New England!!

Yeah ...we feel your pain, we know very well how much it sucks to be the laughing stock of the NFL. We know how it feels to go into a season with no hope of even making the playoffs.

Ever since Kraft bought this club, he brought us our glory days and I see no signs of that ending anytime soon.

Every day is a "beautiful day" for us now. :singing: :rocker:
