"after two days, Lua is one of the young players that’s stood out in mini-camp."

"Adalius Thomas ran stride-for-stride with rookie Justise Hairston on a 15-yard wheel route."

I guess Peter King should have thought about us adding Thomas before he wrote his BS last week.

Re: Minicamp Day Two

Rodney Harrison is returning to his old form. He’s moving well on the field and during one deep pass from Tom Brady to Donte’ Stallworth, the veteran safety drifted over and picked the ball off. It’s a good sign for the Patriots to see Harrison already being this active.

:D

Re: Minicamp Day Two

What's up with Meriweather? Why isn't he at camp? Not a very good start for the Pats top pick, he's already falling behind. :bricks:

Re: Minicamp Day Two

Interesting that there's a negative note on Washington...anybody else notice that when Brady was talking about (and praising) his new veteran receivers yesterday, Washington's name never came up?

Re: Minicamp Day Two

These are great,BFan,thanks!

All sounds good but for Washington's early struggles. He's one you want to see stick-keep working Kelley!

Lau-looking gooood!

Re: Minicamp Day Two

Merry IS at camp if you read Reiss in the Globe. He's just not on the field. Shoulder injury I believe.

Re: Minicamp Day Two

I'm glad Lua looks good...Lord knows we NEED an ILB.

Re: Minicamp Day Two

I like this note from the blog :rocker:

Mills and Scott battling it out
June 6th, 2007

During a goal line passing drill, Garrett Mills outmuscled Chad Scott to haul in a touchdown reception, despite Scott having excellent coverage. On the next play, Scott and Mills again both went up and fought for this ball, only this time it was the veteran cornerback who came down with the football. After the exchange, the two players slapped hands and ran back to the huddle.

Second that. Let's hope Lua develops into this year's sleeper.

Sleeping during training camp meetings will get the rookie CUT!

Methinks that wasn't the kind of sleeper he was talking about. ;)

And, BTW, why do people keep spelling it Lau? It's LUA. [The Bermanism here seems almost obvious.]

Gino still rusty

Eugene Wilson looks to be a little rusty in coverage. He’s been beaten on a lot on deep routes down the field and doesn’t look to have his speed back yet after suffering a hamstring injury last year.

Bad news for him.

That's right Phil, snoring in meetings gets you cut, sleeping just earns an eraser.

Side note 1: "I'm Ron Borges" & assorted friends (aka: Tom Casale) has taken a page from Mike Reiss and is actually reporting rather than bashing the team and players in his normal "style." Ironic that the former forum fifth columnist would emulate the one reported he most consistently attacked.

Side note 2: Query - How many chewed tennis balls and doggy chew toys were in Wes Welker's locker this morning?

Re: Minicamp Day Two

Yea, I hope Lua will end up being good, he sounds like he is going to do well, if he keeps developing.

Re: Minicamp Day Two

Team working on silent count
The Patriots are working on their silent count in the red zone. Tom Brady is taking snaps at quarterback, while all the players standing on the sidelines are yelling trying to distract him. The noise did disrupt Logan Mankins who jumped early, much to the pleasure of Mike Vrabel. Mankins had to run a lap to make up for his mistake. Shaking Brady proved to be more difficult, as he stood in and drilled a scoring strike to Randy Moss.

Attaboy Brady. Mankins brotha you gotta work on that.

I hear "Allisonlovesbrady", "Patsman12" and "Patriotsrule" also "contributed" to his reports!

Re: Minicamp Day Two

The remarks on Lua gives some credence to the fact the Pats

weren't just throwing darts on day #2 of the draft.
