In your opinion in the entire history of the New England Patriots franchise, who was the most valued player ever to leave the Patriots via the Free Agency Market,Roster Cut Release or Traded to Another Team?

Its tough to choose from so many great players who have left here but I must say the most valuable player to have left this organization in my 28 years as a fan of the Patriots was ....TY LAW.

He was simply so dominant at his position in his glory days that when he was gone it was a shock to me that lasted awhile in my gut...and that was shortly after I had just gotten over Milloy.

I'd have to say Troy Brown.

Jim Plunkett did not do much here, but did much better in Oakland.

Wasn't Troy Brown released and re-signed a couple of years back?

Yep, tho' it was more than a couple of years ago, 12 years to be exact. It's one of the reasons why I never liked Parcells as a coach. I believe Myra had something to do with his getting re-signed.

I think he's referring to the March 1, 2005 release of Troy.

For me it's Adam Vinatieri, if he kicked for the Patriots last season, I don't think the Colts will make pass the Ravens...

Oh I see. I guess I remember that as the end of his contract, not a cut/release? I thought the OP was asking about past pats that were cut/waived/released, ie a decision by the FO and not the player. my bad.

How about Curtis Martin. Does not matching his RFA offer count. Although I admit he could have been replaced by Edwards if not for the injury. The Pats really suffered at RB for years after that. Hell Antwon Smith was a freakin' savior!
